Can someone tell me what color the backlight for the keys is? I want this phone but I hated the faint purple backlight on my old v600.

The phone is GREAT!!! I have it for 3 months now and it has been working very well since i bought it !! what i ha seen an i am interested in is the existence of BlueTooth!!! does v1050 have BT or not !!! if yes how do i activate it !!!!

My phone wont play mp3's as ringtones. Any ideas and does this phone do that?

I cant get it to play MP3's as ringtones.....I have them on the phone but when i go to select it for a ringtone the select button disapears!!! What gives?

Hi im in Australia and i really need some help. I have just got the v1050 and i am wanting to know how do i use the transflash adaptor with my fone. There doesnt seem to be anywhere for it to go under the battery where the sim card is etc. I just want to know how i can transfer files from fone-computer and the other way without having to use USB cable! CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE E-MAIL ME BACK! i need to know whats going on. THANKYOU

i have this phone. no probs for me at all.
ring works ok. maybe it is a little slow when u look picks in mem card.
but u say that the 2ond way to upload games in the phone is by the mem card (plug in adapter and then in card reader)
BUT man BUT........
where do u put those files in the mem card?
just outside all folders?
in a new folder?
u call that help or bigger pain in head?

u want to help do it the right way mate........
by the way the camera i think is much much better than other phones.
AND THERE IS A BLUETOOTH ADAPTOR
just go buy it from moto
works better than nokia bluetooth (they sometimes dont recognize other phones) but will get your phone a little biger and spend a lot of battery (what bluetooth does not ?)

I think this phone is d best phone ever!all that it needs is an infrared port.then it would be perfect!

I'll give some answers:
1)this phone is officily sold without Bluetooth.. and I haven't seen anyone who managed to activate it.. so at this point I think this phone hasn't got BT :( ;
2)to upload files on the phone you've got two choices: one is to buy the cable and use the official motorola software called Mobile Phone Tools, and the other is to upload file via SD adapter that you should find in the package. I suggest to use the second option because is cheaper (here in Italy cable+CD=39Euro, while USB memory card reader=7Euro)and much quicker in transferring files: infact the memory card is much much quicker than the cable.

Anyway I think that there's nothing wrong with the antenna! It gives the phone a retrņ look..

Heyya pplz i am getting a new phone and i really really like this one it rox i previously had a nokia 3200 and it was kinda bad anywayz i wanna no can i play mp3's on it or are they ust as rigtones??? Cheers

I have been reading alot of different opinions and views on this site and i was just wondering if somebody can please clear up for me if the V1050 has bluetooth or not. Because it says on the manual it does not have infrared, but it dos say it has bluetooth. If anybody knows can u please let me know as i am receiving this phone in about a week.

so far, motorola has been nothing but a headache..only good thing about it is the bluetooth (where ppl use it to basically jack it off of someone who actually paid for the ringtone...but who's complaining..) camera and video quality sucks....it lags like crazy...and i jsut had it for about half a year now and it just suddenly blacked out, everything else works but its just BLACK! i dont suggest you get the v551...or any other motorolla phone..best phone is nokia or panasonic or even the LG

Does anyone have any more information as to whether the V1050 can have the bluetooth module enabled? ......... is it a software fix or a hardware fix? ...... Matt (townsvilletech@madrons.com.au)

if this phone could use symbian software so that it could support the same applications and games as nokia (S60) games (because they are quite a lot).
