I must be lucky. Have had this phone over 2 years, dropped it in water, dried it out, and still works well. Always read it is terrible but my experience is opposite.

The software called Motorola Phone Tools is known to make corruption with the drivers, if you installed the drivers first and then the program there might be something wrong with the drivers, try to reinstall them.
