This phone was a great purchase for about 8 mos. Then the sound began to gradually decline in the ear piece. Eventually it got to low to understand the person I was talking to and I had to exchange it for a new one. Once again after about 8 mos. the volume has started to decline. I am swithing over to a nokia phone, as I have seen, they make the best products.
i`ll buy one v555, for 2 reazons.. 1: u can touch with a program called 2kman the memory and convert 5.5 mb on 10 mb 2: u can record video installing new firmware and new flex.. i said thet motorola stoks are better that all others cell. cos u can change the software...
Yes, it has video recording! Are you sure about pricing? WHen they were both new, there was like a huge price difference. The V551 should only cost very little. Other colors? I've seen grey and black faceplates.
To Chris: That's wierd, when i got my phone new, I used to always accidentally hit the web button. For a low price, this is a really good phone, reliable, never failed, good reception. Can also serve as a good backup phone in the future.
can someone please tell me how to set up my e-mail on my motorola V555. I would find this very helpful. You can send info to my e-mail. thx
Hello everybody.. I wanna buy the V555 but I wanna know if it has any feature like video recording ???
Thanks to all....
Look, thats a nice mobile, but weak display colors 65k is past thing. the price is similar to razr V3, till the model of v555 is very large this is out of line. compair v555 and v3. u wont buy v555, believe it
The v551 is very nice I enjoy it very much!!
I have hd sony z500a before this phone is much better and lighter!
I have had the phone for about a month and I love it. As for the people who complain about not having one touch dialing, it does. You just have to know how to use it. The phone book entry has to be saved to the phone not the sim for it to work. Anyway, reception is excellent and pictures are great compared to most phones. I highly reccommend it to anyone wanting a reasonably priced reliable phone.
Hi guys. I´m from Brazil and I have a V555. Wanna know ? It´s a perfect model: beautiful, powerful and cheap.
my internet does not work on my phone, keeps saying that it can not get web browser, and I prescribed to our internet service. Anyone else with this problem?
To krmit, if the dongle comes with software, you do not need Moto Phonetools. I have never even used Moto Phonetools, therefore I can't comment on it. Anyways, my advise is what ever you use, use only one disc/program at a time, if doesn't work, be sure to delete what you set up before trying any other programs. Diffrence in dongles? Other than th range(distance from computer), I can't think of any. Although versions has been updated a lot recently. If its for basic data transfer, I doubt that there are other differences. Anyways, glad to hear you like the phone. Although I have mentioned earlier before in this forum, i'll say it again, don't attempt to load an "bitmap" files, they don't work and causes you phone to lag like crazy, can only take out by using bluetooth!
I'm from Argentina. I have the motorola v555, it's absolutly GREAT! It's came with an Infrared port, at least here. I think that this phome y better than, for ex., Motorola v300, but here the Motorola v300 Is better. I don't Understand that. Anyway I'M ENJOY IT SO MUCH.
I got the V555 a couple of weeks ago and it seems to work great. I was wondering about the Dongle for bluetooth communications to the phone. If I purchase a unit off ebay and it comes with the software do I also need the Motorola Phonetools to make it work or can I do everything with what it comes with? Is there any difference in dongles, anything I should be concerned about when picking one out?
