hey guyz....omg this fone seems to be brilliant!!..ma dad thinks dat nokia and samsung r betta than motorola..but i just compared the fone i want(motorola v365) to the fones ma family hav..which r samsungs and nokias....and this fone beats all!!ha victorious!!!..im gettin it this saturday....im so excited and i just cant hide it....lol...anyways..i got three problems dat i hav to find out bout this fone befor i get it....does the flash thingy beside the camera lense look ugly..and do u hav to update the software..koz i dunno if i no how to do dat..and the last question...can u get this fone in australia??..and the software in australia?? sorry dat was 5 questions...lol...k can some1 answer me asap..very important!!..cyas every1...thanx for the opinions..ther great!!!

amanada with the clam shell open you need to strike the phone twice with a 10 oz ballpeen hammer.

i just got a v635 & i'm trying to put music on my MP3 player but when i connect the phone to the computer it ask for the cd-rom or software to be installed. What do i do

Ive had this phone for a while now and its the best phone ive ever had! The features are superb and everthing about it is brilliant. Buy it if you get the oppertunity to!

I've had my V635 since August 2005 and I love it. One recommendation I should make is that if you are not willing to explore all the features and possibilities this phone has, you should not buy it. This phone actually opened me up to the world of phone modding. It's a great phone for it and can let you do so much more to improve and personalize it. The software that comes preinstalled is very buggy and is a waste to even have. So, if you want the most out of your V635, upgrade the firmware and learn to mod.
Someone asked if 90R was better than 88R before. Different firmwares work better for some and worse for others. I have a modded 90R firmware on mine from Leukoplast. His thread is on Howard Forums if you want to update with his MP (MonsterPack).

Im working in the cellular industry, sold quite a few V635's and received no bad feed back about the phone. Im quite impressed with the phones features.

i also purchaced this phone on ebay and was impressed with it at first, but the front LCD broke and parts are impossible to find...
im in western australia and i cannot find a place who repairs phones who has even heard of it never mind the part availability.
but slowly i am noticing a decline in the performance of the software, its getting slower and slower.
also if u use the MP3 player it drains the battery to nothing within the first 30mins.
i rate it 5 out of 10 because i realise im a ttrades person and put the phone through hell..

@ Kristine:YOU got a rez.probl.Everything higher than 1304*968 the phone will not open!!!
The nr.of kb are NOT important.So 1.3MP(1280*1024)or more the phone will not open.

I recently purchased this phone off of ebay and I havent had one bit of trouble. This phone is extremely durable for a Motorola and I have had very few glitches. Overall I was very impressed with this phone.

I just got my v635 and my friend tried to bluetooth sumthin to meand it was 236kB and it said it was too large to open but i took a pic with the camera and it was 257kB and it opened...how does that work?

well, i i've had my motorola v635 for about 3 months and its been sent out for repairs 4 times, and in all those 4 times they sent me another refurbished phone that doesnt work. I think the v635 phone is the biggest piece of crap ever made. For the ones who's looking into buying one, dont!. I made the mistake of buying one and now im married to it.

Worst phone I have ever owned. Previous Motorola's such as the V500 were much better. This phone, well, it was the 2nd I had from O2 after having problems with the first one, the problems were also in the 2nd one, and I think they are software based.
The phone frequently locks when trying to send a picture message, and you have to take the battery out. At night, when the phone is turned off, you wake up in the morning to find the front display lit up constantly, again, battery must come off. I dont like the way the display does not show you have a text waiting if you leave it for a while. The battery life isnt great either, and I found the whole design too "slippery" to open, it was so easy to let it drop to the floor if you were not careful.
On the plus sides the camera is not bad and so are the tones, and the keyboard is a nice layout, but I picked up a new Nokia today after having this phone for a year, and I am going to smash it to bits with a hammer because I just hate it so much.
