i had this phone and it worked fairly well, the only problem was that the service was not that great. Other than that i loved it, watch out though because mine got stolen, that's how awesome it was. i would recommend it.

my phone keeps freeezing took it back to the link and they are trying to say it has been damp i cant see this myself as it turns on and as i go to do anything on it it freezes can anyone say if they have took it bk and they have blamed the damp

Now I cannot comment on other brands of motorola but I own a V710 motorola so I'll just tell you about my exerience with that. It is absolutely, absolutely the worst phone I've ever had in my life. Freezing? Yes, you got that right. I had several motorola phones prior to this and they all had these same problems. 1) The antenna is so fragile, it always breaks. I think they designed it so that it'll break before a year. 2) Because it broke, I got another one through my insurance (for people who'll say so why did you get another motorola....because I had to (insurance) and guess what, after 2 weeks, the charger is loose on the phone. Just look at its design, it wiggles when you put that charger in the phone. By the way, this happen to my prior phone too! It is designed to fail. I know I can't be the only one experiencing this. Why hasn't any complaint to them and demand all their products removed from the stores. I'm with Verizon and I like their service alot but all they sell is crapy Motorola phones. Prior to motorola, I never had these problems with any other phones. I will NEVER in my life buy another motorola, even if it is free. It's basically trash to me. I'm even thinking about stopping my service with Verizon because they carry such crap.

i have had problems with my fone for a few wks now it keeps freezing it turns on and as i open it to use it freezes it has been to the shop and they are saying it has been damp i cant see that it has . it is only 3 months old and it works until i open it i would have thought if it was damp it wouldnt turn on rly dissapointed with it

it is not so bad the phone... is just it gets really hard to clean the screen when the dust gets inside the phone.... and it also gets a little bit slow when you have a lot of pictures in it! besides that the phone is cool..!!!

This phone SUCKS!!! Eyecatcher by excellence, but I broke the joystick 2 times.. Dont buy this phone... u will learn MOTOROLA sucks...

I bought this phone last year November. Within three months it only froze every time i closed it. The warranty was still on it so i took it back to the store to fix. When i collected it and i tried to access the camera it only froze up again. I then had to take it back to the store for a second time, but this time they honored my warranty, replacing it with the ROKR E1. Overall it is too expensive. it has no memory card and gives too many problems. If you are a person that uses your phone alot this is not for you. It excels in style and display quality but fails in durability.

The phone is really cool..i had it since october of last year..but now im thinkin bout gettin a new phone..it frezzes so much...like sometimes when i hang the phone up it doesnt hang up..which becomes quite annoying...so thats why im changing my phone..if u want a cool phone go for it..if u get annoyed easy not a phone for u

Itīs an Xcellent phone.Unafortunately yesterday it was stolen :(
I used it for about 8 months and I didnīt have any trouble, except 2 or 3 times it freezed.Itīs very stylish, looks really cool, especially when receiving calls/msgs that turn on the motoglyph.It amazes people!
About the joystick, worked fine 4 me.Donīt know how some people break it. Do they play PacMan with it?
I would like to buy another one, but Iīll buy another model since de V80 only worked in Buenos Aires and didnīt in the rest of the country, because Argentina uses GSM850 outside B.A.
Iīll think about it...perhaps a Siemens CF76 or a PEBL...

How do u use the MP3 player on it or is there one on it and can u record songs and make them your ringtone if so how?

i have this phone from 1 month...no problem....i just want 2 know wer can i find aplications and java games 4 it!if y know plz mallit!it is a stalish phone...

Does anyone know why there is a red light near the green cover on the joystick. It is normally green then all of a sudden it turned red. The phone will not even turn on now.

I've had my V80 since Aug. 2004. The one and ONLY problem I have had with it is the screen going blank & turning off. For those of you who think this phone is not user friendly? Please. If you're not a phone connoisseur, you shouldn't have bought this phone. In fact, one does not need to be a "cell phone connoisseur" to use this phone. Motorola has the easiest layouts. For those of you who have had their joystick broken.. DUH, just be more gentle w/it.

certainly an impressive phone in terms of design and uniqueness. i bought it in April 2005, now already start to have problems. the phone auto restart quite often. not sure the reason? anyone has the same experience?

this phone has a perfect design
why moto keep on doing some razr and rokr
how about rotomoto like this one
take a look to some sony ericsson
they are now focus to the swivel phones or
rotating phones this phone needs just
a few improvements like the nice joystick, video capturing, card slot, higher pixel, and to be a sturdy and hig durablity of this phone THIS PHONE RULEZ it a very nice phone

The phone is great...one problem the green button used to access about the whole phone breaks off very easily! Besides that this phone is great but not worth the money when you cant use it. I would go for the sony walkman phone...same type of idea with the rotation but it is also a mp3 player with 256 memory built in.

This phone surely looks nice and stylish, but its the worst phone i'v ever bought in my life.
why?
1-The green joystick was broken 2 times bcs its tooo weak.
2-The screen keeps turning white and switches off repeatdly.And the maintenence cant fix it and wont replace it.
3-battery life tooooooooooo short.
4-The plastic its made of is soo strange from the slighstest touch ur hands will leave marks.
5- the USB doesnt work,even eith the original cable.
6-Its expensive relative to other phones with the same features.
7-When u try to resell it, u have to lose at least 70% of the price u paid for it even if its new.
8-No one is willing to buy it.
9-Small memory capacity cant take more than 50 pics of good quality.
10-Scratches easily.
Please ask before buying it and read the opinions.

You can get covers on ebay. They have good ones on there for cheap, or you can visit your local mall. They have booths where they sell covers for any phone. Good luck!

Hi, i bought this phone on internet the moment i started to use and the cammera didnt work well for some reason the cammra freezes over and i had to tkae the battery off in order to turn it off the didnt work at all...really bad phone, nicec design but VERY BAD PHONE a waste of money for me!!
