The latter is the standard modus but you can change this if you go to the message thing through the menu and then push the central button on the phone and choose "message configurations"

i really love to use this phonoe because, for quite a number if times when it fell from my hands, nothing actually happened to it. i will always continue to use this phone till i die.

this is not a fantastic phone. but it's good. it's so strong. it is stronger than any other nokia device. it fell from my hands and from other places a lot of times, but nothing happened.

this modle is bad coz it can save sms a small amount only 30msg anyone who can fixed this to become high memory that can save a 500msg...
thx...don't buy this model coz its fake...

I've tried the CDMA version of this phone (W208) and the build quality is very bad, unlike other Motorola phones.
