Hiii i just bought W230,i got the usb cable but no cd of the drivers...
So when i connect it to my pc it didnt get charged nor i can upload songs in it...
So wher can i get the drivers of it..
If any one knows than plz mail it to me...

Hi every one i got this w230 a two weeks ago and now it has started creating the problem slowly dday by day the thing is at times when the call is coming the ring tone is not comming so i have to restart the phone then it works fine and it is happening oftenly so i got hooked up so any body facing the problem like this kindly check it out and i am going to motorola for this problem...

That's exactly what I was looking for.
Affordable phone with mp3 player and very nice design. While other brands make cheap phones with camera and a memory of 1 or 2mb (for me if you want a camera phone, buy a camera or a high-end phone), w230 got a mp3 player with MicroSD card slot. I love it!

finally i bought it today . in indonesia it cost Rp600000(around $65) with the memory 1gb . my opinion is : this phone is a good player for mp3 but the headset only mono . so my advice to buy a better headset to enjoy the music

i bought this mobile two weeks ago and i am very much satisfied with this from moto.disadvantages
1.screen quality is bad .just colour cells from moto past years are very good in this aspect. but i think this lapse give benefit of more battery life.
2.looks of the mobile are average.
.......and some minors as every mobile obvious will have
advantages cost 2900
1.the first thing is common sense because all these days no mobile has come with only mp3 without 0.3pixel cam.this cell has given broad scope for starters who like music
2.mp3 player is awesome.we get 256 mb card free
3.i have never read in any site that ihis cell supports mp3 ringtones.but can set your fav. song as ringer with two presses
4.sreen as always is scratch proof
so i am venkat signing off go for this mobile if you are a starter in mp3 section and enjoy fm and mp3 bye.......

the phone i've been expecting for a long time from motorola. great battery life, mp3-player, simple, nice, best quality/price rate. for someone who needs basic functions from a phone + mp3player and fm radio, it's the greatest thing.

And second one how to increase the speaker volume during the call. in my phone it is very slow during the speaker on... Plz help.

In the song list, just select "All Song", then it will continously play all songs in the folder

In my w230, songs are not played continuously.
I mean when one song is over, next is not started automatically. I have topress next button to play next song . This is really annoying. Anyone please help me!

to make a playlist, simply create a new folder and put your favorites in the folder. play all from the folder

it's a 2.5 mm jack. but don't expect too much from this cheap phone. the music output is of lower quality than other phones.

Does anybody know how the headset connection used in the W230? Is it a 3.5 or 2.5 mm jack or is it thru the usb port? thanks in advance for answering.

u can't.
unless u managed to install an java mp3 player.
the only way out is to create subfolders.
treat subfolders as playlists.
if u press "play all" in the motorola music player, it will auto play all the music in that folder, and all subfolders inside that folder.
