Yes, it does.
I saw the video review they made at telefonino.net (the best Italian site for mobile stuff) and the sound from the mp3 player is very good for such a cheap phone.

I bought W270 on 27/May/08... I'm really glad to say something to the new buyers...
+ low price..
i got it with 3300 INR
[on the box its MRP is 3518 INR]
+ great look..
[externally it looks excellent
inside look(keypad,monitor...)-average]
+ contains lot of accessories within the box
1.stereo headset with mic
2.data cable
3.256MB micro SD card
+ crystal clear technology
on call u will realize the change..
reduced noise, quality sound...
+ have lot of supporting languages
1.English
2.Hindi
3.Bengali
4.Telugu
5.Tamil
+ moderate charging time
For complete charging in switch off mode, it needs only 45 minutes(approximately).
+ in their specification they said the battery will lasts for 9hrs continuously on call
and 18 days in standby mode.. its really cool if it does..
(I don't know is that true or not...)

really hard to use..

sorry to say its 100% bad...
if we used another cell b4, we'll never like its menu options and controls..
- audio playback
bad + expect only 20% of bass in the real song...
while using headsets, it makes a annoying sound whenever the song changes..
FM radio quality is better..
FM recording is there... But the quality of recorded sound is not quiet good..

My suggestion is go and compare nokia 2630 & W270 in a shoppe...

Main Menu--> Personalise --> Lock Smart Key --> Off
Its all over...

I just bought this phone ..and found great.I bought it mainly for its Mp3 support and the sound quality really is adequate for a sleek good looking phone which comes around for 3100 rupees.
The flip is quite not handy...and I found that the volume keys and mp3 hot keys provided outside the keypad do not function when the flip is closed.
Overall its one worthy phone for what we pay...

To those who has concern about the "flip"...I have a Moto V60i, which I bought back around 2001, and the "flip" and the phone itself are still working 100% great!
I've heard Moto has quality assurance tests on its flip phones which guarantees at least 100,000 times opening / closing.
