this is the worst phone i have ever used. its already 15 yrs am using mobile phone and almost every year i change model/make . i bought 3 w510 during a 50% promo and all the 3 phone have already gone in repairs at least 2 times and with same problem ( display become blank and every time i have been to the aftersales service , i met 3/4 persons with same problem . how you explain that all those who bought thrse phone dont know how to use it .

i have a w510 but i CAN T ( I MEANT) use the mp3 format for default ring. i can t activate a personal ring ( like akon, r kelly and so one) for when som eone call me.
please post me the answer please

does it have a music player like you will download a music to your computer and transfer it to your Motorola w510

your wrong kammila this mobile is the greats phone i ever seen.I have this mobille ten years the mobille has val 50 times stil no probelems

I have had this phone for a little over a year now. i can't close it anymore every time i do and then open it back up the screen goes either white or all black and i have to turn it off take the battery out and turn it back on to work...i just don't close it anymore. Now that my warranty is up i need to buy a new phone. I would never purchase this phone again.

I'm very dissatisfied with this phone. After having mine for only six months, if I close the phone, then open it, the screen is completely white. I then have to turn the phone off and back on to read texts or see who called. And now when I text, it freezes up. sometimes it will flash and continue. Other times it has to be turned off and on again. Very annoying. I spent decent money on this because I thought it would be a quality product. Boy, was I ever wrong!!

It's small and handy, has a great battery life, is reliable and has all the basic features. The camera is not good itself but it can record videos in VGA resolution! I was really surprised when I noticed that, the video quality is better than on my W850i.
Mp3 player has good quality, same with display - it's rather small but is sharp and displays vivid colors.
I really like this phone and would recomend to everyone looking for a simple phone for calls, texting and music. It's also really, really stylish. One of the best looking Motorola phones.

I woould nto recormend this phone to any one.

I had a problem with battery at 6 months so I went back to carrier. They pried open the back and said "it's been wet no warranty". I got another battery and the phone has been fine for the last 7 months. Last week the
phone quit the newer battery was swollen. I put in the old battery and the phone worked but it was getting warm in the lower left corner
as soon as the battery went in.
I took it to my techie and he pulled it apart and said there never was any water inside as the internal white dots were still white.
So the phone is junk after 13 months with no good reason.
Other than that I have no complaints. But will I buy
another for $160? I think not.

I would not recormend this phone to anyone.I use to have the V555.It was great unit it wore out. W510 freezes up all the time.The Mp3 player doesnot work.You are unable use a memeroy card with it.I tried different brands also 1 and 2 gigs. Tried different formats on my pc also.The tech surport is very bad.I called and was told "i have know idea call back another time and talk to someone else."Then they hung up.My carrier also called and was unable to get any help.This also happend with another w510 on my account.Also my carrier tried brand new ones right out of the box.The speaker also works when it wants to.I have had problems from day one with this.Motorola will not even take it back.My final thought is this phone sucks.

Does anyone else have a problem with the ribbon of this flip? I take extra care of mine, but I've already had to have it fixed twice. :(

Although this phone was having problems with its software, which they have solved, it is great!!try using your memory card to hold songs, its funny cause mine holds over 100. Every cell phone phone batch has is problems, and Im sure your insurance company didn't give you a "bad" phone on purpose.

For the W510, when texting, go to "options"..."text setup" and turn "off" "word completetion". This is a great phone. Speaker is good quality if you listen to lots of music. comes with a seperate memory card which allows you to store MORE music, MORE photos, MORE videos.
