This phone is not UMTS, GSM 900 or 1800. It's W-CDMA only and hard-coded to Vodafone Japan.

How can they copy the V3 when this phone was made in 2004 and the V3 was released in 2005? I guess they must have used the time machine or something..

This is one model that does not cover 1900MHz which is widely used in the US (i.e. T-mobile) so you cannot use it in the US. It is made for use in Japan only, and may roam in countries which uses 900 and 1800MHz.
