Help. Is there a simple way to lock my NEC411i without going through the menu each time. I just want it to automatically lock after a few minutes. Am I just being very stupid?

Here's a really goofy oversight on the part of NEC on the N411i. When you send a picture in an email (Untitled subject), the receiver can't reply to it !!!!!!

You HAVE to include some text in the message.

My advice to NEC - please don't dabble in mobile phone production cause you're no good at it!!

William ist of all you have 2 install the drivers when you have done that click usb drivers again in the nec disc, if it says that the software has been installed right click it and nec mobile suite will come up this is a different way than the other so follow the instructions carefully thats how I got mine working.Baza.

I have been having the same problem as William below with the language of the phone and the NEC mobile suite being different. I have tried to match the languages but the only options available are English on one and English(United States) on the other. Can anuone help me too, as I am beginning to get really cheesed off!!!!!!

when i go on NEC moiling suite it says i cannot download MP3s to the phone becuase the languages are different? the phone language is english and the mobiling suite language is english (american). please help me!

1st of all go to accessorys go down to bluetooth and click on pair new device then click on search device wait until a page of names come up and select that name, you have to give a pin number so make sure you remeber that number, when that is done it will say which files do you want to copy and send it. Bluetooth can only work if you are in a range of 20 meters.Baza.

Guys. I keep seeing mails about sending data by BT. This phone cannot d it. Look it the manual, it only offers BT headset and modem...not data transfer

Bought the NEC411i as an Xmas present for my 11 year old. The spec says the phone can do all kinds of things, I can't seem to do anything, god knows how he's supposed to.
How do you put MP3s on the phone.
How do you transfer photos from phone to PC
In other words I can't seem to do anything with this phone.
Can anyone help

Hi all,

NEC N411i:

- Bluetooth only works for a headset. You can't connect to other phones or your laptop.

- You can't use mp3 as a ringtone whatever you try..

USB Connection: a lot of problems with windows XP. you better use a pc with windows 98. DO NOT plug your phone in.. first install drivers. Not from the cd you got with the phone, but download them here:
then install the mobile suite. also download here: ,then plug in your phone and it will work..

Phone modes: press the up-key LONG(the one on the circle on your 'keyboard') and then edit..

Side keys: the up-key: press long for camera...you see yourself on the 2nd screen.. press up-key again for photo.. down-key: press long for light...any key to out it off..

I am having alot of problems with this phone. Firstly when the phone is plugged into the computer, the computer does not recognise that it is plugged in. Also I have downloaded the usb drivers and Still i don't not understand why I cannot download Mp3's. Please please if anyone knows anything email me
