Looks more like a handheld XM or Sirius radio than a phone with capabilities of using it as a detonator and holding the world for ransom for 1 million dollars.....muhahaha, muhahah, muhahah!

I was a little surprised to see this phone carrying a NEC brand name. The same phone exist in France under the brand name Airness air99.I was just wondering if sportwear maker 'Airness' got their idea from NEC.Anyway the phone was not a great success in France.

It's a PHONE... not a fully featured multimedia device. Stop complaining. As long as it calls and texts, it fulfills the remit of a phone.

my opinion is
look at this phone,
such a sci-fi layout
and such a poor technology.
even my toothbrush has a bluetooth now(for future features)!
