The manual is not user friendly. I have been trying for days to set it up so a photo of the call appears on the screen. Also there is no reference to the USB cable anywhere in the handbook. NEC website doesn't help either.

Where does the USB cable connect to the phone? Someone said the battery charger port doubles as a USB port but my USB cable doesn't fit this port. Also the phone screen quite often goes blank for no reason and the unit has to be switched back on. Any ideas??

Regarding the drivers for the USB cable. The details page on the Oz NEC web site specifies what software is needed but does not provide any likes to the actual software, see http://www.nec.com.au/products...spx?view=284
But if you go to the N410i page it does have the links to the software and it seems to match the same specs, see http://www.nec.com.au/products...spx?view=159
Note you will need the Modem Drivers and the NEC Mobile Suite
Hope this helps...

i think the phone is great and looks great i just dont know how to work it. I do not know how to use imode, how to send pictures ect, how to put the phone on speaker phone, how to add a picture to a name in the phone book so when they ring a picture comes up, how to get mp3s off the net and how to access the net off the phone. I know this sounds really silly. Also there are a few options that i cannot go into, like they are grey and i am unsure why. I know there is alot on infomation in this email but if anyone can help me i would be very thankful!

This is an alright phone, but I can't find the software that everyone is talking about (NEC Mobile Suite). Where would I get this from? I have already searched the nec australia site and googled it. I could be having a brain dead moment, but I can't seem to locate anything about it that isn't on this website.
