I had the same dilemma 2 weeks ago.i had to choose between the two phones-i took NEC401i because it has MP3 player,it`s smaller and it looks better.401 has two coloured panels too so-i recommend it to you.

get the cd pack and cable off ebay. then go to the Nec webiste and look up the i model phones, then it will have software that u can download, one of the programs for an i phone will work for all the phones. the drivers for usb will be on the cd that u recieve. well thats what i did ne way and i have mp3's on my N401i

Nec N410i has a better display than the 401(240*320) and a better camera(1.3mp) It also has 32 mb memory.I also have a question :In which country can I find NEC n410i? Pleaase give me an answer!

all this talk about how easy it is to convert or get mp3's onto the phone. would someone be able to explain how to do this step by step and in simple terms pls. would be much appreciated

i've got mobile suite, and the usb cable to connect it to my computre but when i run suite it doesnt detect my phone. i've tried auto-detect and selecting it manually but each time it says there is no phone connection
plz help.....im dying of frustration here!

the software you need is called NEC Mobiling Suite. The cable fits most of the NEC phones such as E616, N411i, N400i

hey jst like the rest of u i have jst bought this phone. but ive been trying to find a way to put the mp3's from the comp onto the phone but don't know wat cabling or software to use if its possible. i'm usin windows xp so if anyone know's plz tell me, im desperate......Thanks

You need software called 'NEC Mobile Suite' and the correct cable. Same cable as for 3G phones
