hey i just brought this phone from a friend and wanting to find a instruction manual on how to use it any one got the manual in english please send to my email at c_p_14@hotmail.com desperatly wanting instruction manual and also how can i make it so when i recieve a txt message it shows me who it is from instead of just the number because all my numbers are stored on the sim card but still only displays the mobile number of who the txt was from and not the name of the person than just give me a email

Hey Folks,
I see all the previous posts were posted in 2005... anyway, I just purchased the NEC 30 yesterday...in Shnaghai China. Its a cool looking sleek phone, and all I need is to make and recieve calls...
And I got it at a throw away price from a showroom as I heard they are phasing out all the japanese phones out of the chinese market... Got it for about 175Euros... And i honestly think its not a great phone, but looks cool, and I guess serves the purpose... Gotta look into the features tonight ;-)

Nice looking phone but definitely NOT value for money. Way overpriced, and NEC support is the worse.

Great phone, but has anyone solved the problem about not being to input more than 10 characters in the APN if we want to set the pnone up to send and receive MMS? All the network APN's in the UK, except Orange, have more than 10 characters.

I bought it in Hong kong.
I have torubles with the SMS on soem Simm cards and cannot use gprs for web or email if the APN of the provider is more then 10 digits.
The software that came with the N900 works fine with the n930 as long as you futz with the blue tooth comport on the PC and it deos sync with outlook in a kinda weird way.
I also have the NEC N923 which is a much better phone but has no email and little calendar funtion but is 2mm thinner.
