the N1m is an updated version of a phone that should've hit the market along time ago.
this is no longer a hot item. much better phones on the market.
neonode should better think of using symbian OS with UIQ

I forgot to mention, the new price of the N1m with a 1Gb SD card is now 520 EUR. (as opposed to 499 EUR. last week). There is also the option of 512, 256, 128 and 64Mb instead for a lower cost. I personally went with a 256Mb card as this seems most cost-effective.

The N1m is on sale through the Swedish manufacturers online shop (www.neonode.com) -although you will need a credit card to pay for it. For the last week the shop has been temporarily closed as demand has been so high and now that is has re-opened, the price has gone up. All units are sold SIM free and will work worldwide. Mine should be arriving in the next week, so I will also keep you guys posted on how I get on with it. I can only really see two downsides to this phone (and they're only very small points): 1). You can't use the phone with your eyes closed (as I often do when I'm too hung over to look at the bright screen of a mobile..OK, maybe tha's just me then?!) as there are no physical buttons. 2). Having a SIM card slot that is not completely accessible, using a ghost/secondary SIM is going to make for messy and unpractical wires hanging outside of the unit.

Why is everybody obsessed with the D500, My brother owns one and to be honest, to have a 1mp camera and no memory card slot is pathetic. To transfer anything to it or from it takes forever.

I still think the P910 is the best phone on the market, and to watch full length films on it is a gem. The only downside is the VGA camera.

As for this Neonode, it looks like it blows the pants off the D500 and the 1g card potential is enough to choose this over the D500.

Well my order for this beauty has been submited and Im really looking forward to receiving it. With 1gb of storage space, im sure if it fails to impress as a mobile I can take advantage of the mp3 capabilities :P

Whilst 500 euros is a fair share of money, i think the uniqueness of this phone will be more than enough to make up for it... Ill keep you all posted on on how I get on using the handset.

This shouldn't even really be compared to a D500 (oh and P4U are NOT the only shop to sell silver D500s so you've been lied to!!)

Neonode looks interesting but i couldnt justify being a tester for it (i mean they dont exactly have a long track-record do they?)

Brev... stop your futile endeavours to turn this into a Arena of Lies....I work half my week as a phone salesperson, dealing with every phone on the market and I am yet to receive one complaint, or servicing request on the samsung d500. You clearly do not work for Samsung handset department, u are clearly a pathological liar. Your words dont belong here amatuer. The D500 is an excellent phone.

Back to the topic! Sorry Readers.

Neonode is available only through their 'web shops'(their online stores)... If you go to their website you can find one near you, if you live in Australia acquiring one of these phones will be a challenge.

Nevertheless Good Luck, they are interesting, unique and warrant a good look.

To brev. Do not come on this forum talking absolute b*****ks. The d500 is one of the best small handsets on the market today, the only handet that beats it is the Motorola V3 RAZR. Two weeks ago i purchased a silver d500 on contract, exclusively sold at Phones 4 U (UK). I have to say that the quality is up there with my previous handset (Moto V3 RAZR) The camera is top quality megapixel and, it has everything else, camera flashlight/torch, 1h video recording, bluetooth, infra-red, MP3 player/ringtones, 80MB memory, the list goes on...

The handset is also nice looking with the slider design. One of the nicest small designes on todays market, The only other handset that beats it in the looks department is... yep the V3 RAZR! So go on Buy the samsung d500! its worth every penny, also so is the V3 RAZR. Buy either one and you'll have the best two handsets on the market today. Dont listen to crappy Nokia salesman above, BUY SAMSUNG AND MOTOROLA after all, they are the top of the charts:

1. Samsung
2. Motorola
3. Nokia
4. Sony Ericsson

do not buy samsung d500 listen i work for samsung`s moblie phone department the samsung d500 is a very very bad phone there a so many problems with the handset that we are having to recall nearly 600.000 units the problems are faulty screen, the front of the phone comes away from the back of the phone you have to use the loud speaker to answer your calls and when you press the answer key on the handset (the green button) it turns the handset off so as a word of warning DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanx for listen and p.s if anyone from samsung is reading please dont sack me i just want people to know the truth
