The fan favorite, the Nokia N8, is a bit behind the times with its Symbian Anna OS, but a Belle update is incoming. A second Belle firmware has leaked (the first one came a couple of months ago) and this time it's reportedly running much better.

The ROM is version 111.030.609, newer than even the leaked ROM for the C7 that we saw a while back. There's a good deal of new widgets and the transitions run very smoothly even on the aging 680MHz processor.

Several screenshots of the leaked ROM running on the N8

Here's a lengthy video that showcases the Belle firmware running on a Nokia N8:

It looks pretty cool, but unfortunately tells us nothing about the release date of the finalized software, just that it's soon.

You can grab the firmware from here. As always, it's an update at your own risk type of deal.
