HTC Explorer is better than Samsung Galaxy Y, Galaxy Pocket, or Motorola Fire xt............ Because all the budget phones at almost same price-level have the old, and less-advanced ARMv6 processor which does not support some apps like Mozilla Firefox, Adobe Flash Player 11 (so ALL TYPES of video streaming is not possible), etc.........But HTC Explorer has the new, and more-advanced ARMv7 processor which supports more apps, such as Mozilla Firefox, Adobe Flash Player 11 (for ALL TYPES of video streaming, and without taking any help from any Dolphin or UC browser), etc...............Explorer has better screen resolution (which is also an important factor for selection) than Galaxy Y, or Galaxy Pocket, and even Fire xt (Explorer has better ppi pixel density of the screen). Better screen display also supports more apps with pleasurable viewing experience to the eyes..........Explorer has a User Interface (UI) which is not found in Fire xt ..................Explorer has Adreno 200 GPU for better gaming, etc., which is absent in both Galaxy Y, and Pocket (Pocket has also smaller screen, which is very difficult for typing with normal-sized fingers).................Fire xt has a secondary camera but it is useless, as it is not compatible with video chatting, but may be used as a mirror...................... HTC is also a good branded company like Samsung, and Motorola.................So HTC Explorer is the clear winner (for its ARMv7 processor which supports Adobe Flash Player 11, etc., Adreno 200 GPU, better screen-resolution, UI, etc.) in the budget Android phones in almost every segments, but the only plus point in Fire xt is its better camera with a flash-light (and for this reason this handset is more expensive, too, but has no Adobe Flash Player support in its browser) , but if you are not a photographer by profession, you can live without it, or can buy a first-class digital camera or such things from the market.................Now the final choice is yours..................................

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2012-05-26 23:21 from fCN5 - click to readMotorola Fire xt has useless secondary- camera, even which does not work, and has no Adobe Flash Player 11 support (so ALL TYPES of video streaming is not possible, and also supports limited apps) due to its old, and less-advanced ARMv6 processor, the screen resolution has lower ppi pixel density, has no User Interface, and more expensive....................HTC Explorer has better features than this Fire xt, except the camera (and if you are a photographer by profession then [better] buy a dedicated digital camera).

I just bought this device today. very good device. No lags in operation. I got original HTC headphone and a 2GB memory card in the package. price 8900 in Kerala.
This phone is also available online at 8000 to 8600. I don;t know what are the package contents. If you are confused in taking galaxy y duos or explorer, i would suggest this phone. galaxy y duos is not that great device.

i just got my xplorer about an hour ago. its really a wonderful phone. i have read in many reviews that its loud speaker is very weak. but my htc explorer is really loud. and the display quality is also really good.but when comparing it with optimus net which is the main competitor of explorer, i can say that both are really impressive phones. screen clarity is a bit more for optimus net because it has a more resolution scree. but apart from that i think in all other aspects htc wins. optimus ui is totally crap when comparing with sense 4.5...and optmus feels very cheap in hands and the build quality is also not acceptable.
