Why videos on phone run so slowly on the othet hand runs smooth on youtube ? Iam using mx player. Does it requires specific codecs? I need advice

Guys this phone's specifications have really amazed me... I was going to buy samsung galaxy ace today... But waited just to review this one... Please tell me... Ace or motorola fire xt??
Or any other better than both... On fire xts price range...

I want to buy my first android phone (BudgetRs8000-9000). I want the best phone in this price bracket which is very easy to use and loaded with features. My priorities are brilliant display, support for hd games and videos, superfast netbrowsing and a very responsive touchscreen. I have shortilised htc explorer and moto fire xt. Please help.
