It has a CPU and a GPU which is not to be confused with a dual core processor.

You might want to hard reset the unit. Mostly like it will work. Press the wireless manager button and camera button and poke the reset button and hold. It will prompt for hard disk. As for the FM radio. U need to plug in the earpiece before u open the program.

As for dual processor. What is means is, Arm processor mainly for the PDA and 2nd processor is the Graphic Procssor unit as this model is integrated with Nvidia Go 5500(Better than PsP, and near xbox graphic chip set)

But the thing is, i hope they come out with a setting for us to actually config the graphic chip.

Hi everyone. I just bought the O2 flame yesterday and I'm quite happy with it. good screen size, easy to use. The problem though is that I can't open the camera, self diagnostics and FM radio? " it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or part or one of its components can't be found, may need to restore or reinstall the file" what should I do? Help! thx!

i'm practically salivating for this phone... it has all the "essential" features i'd like. but at a hefty price tag, it's about likely that i'l bleed money than to buy one.

I'm a day trader. I do a lot of activities online. that's what I'm very pleased with my o2 flame. When you go online, it like you using a core 2 from intel. Excellent Device. I can't wait for the upgrade (wm6).

Just want to thank Wayne for his comprehensive post. There are folks out there unduely criticizing the Flame who have never seen or used it. If you check out the comments of those who actually own a unit you will find that they are all very happy with it. It is not perfect but still much better than the current competition.

Re Wayne's issue with video playback, this has to do with the cache which WM5 operates automatically but unfortunately poorly. With the Flame's large memory you can set this size manually to a larger number like 16K to ensure smooth playback. If you check out forums like XDA-developers you can find out how to alter the registry.

Using this phone for a while since it was launched in Asia. A great PDA phone.

People commments it poorly. Likely reason is expensive, camera, Size...

Come on. All these comes with a reason.

Expensive: Its a Computer INTEGRATED with a phone, pls link a HANDPHONE which can do what this guy can't.You pay for the functions, the technology. You are not buying a cheapo or a Toy.

Camera: 2MP is good enough for a quicksnap pic when needed.Only thing i concern is the Flash. But seriouly,if you need a high end pixel camera.Standalone Camera is there for you,10MP camera good enough? This is a phone, camera is an addon pls!

Size: Do you ever think of a 3.6" screen Handphone? How do you feel the size? Compare to a PDA that you can use for office work when you can view it so clearly and comfortably? Big size is due to the Screen. Its not that they wanted the size big.Does this kind of device ever exist?Pocket Size with 29" display?Impossible yeah?Pls stop comments on size.I seem someone said its looks plastic? Did you ever hold it before? The design and the feel dont looks plastic to me at all.It has a very nice grib surface and very nice finishing too.Dont look any "plastic" to me at all.Don't based on the picture that you view and gave bad comments.

Sound: I have tested the sound with a mp3 song. when going to the loudest, the Sound is Crystal clear. When you hear that the sound is getting crap. You might want to check the song that you are playing instead.

Keypad: One good reason why touch screen is good about. Asking, your past handphone. How many times does your number getting harder to respond or dont even respond? Things wear and tear. Movement objects wear and tear. Touch screen overcomes this problem. O2 Flame, somehow I tested compare to previous PDA i used, the respond is very very fast.

GPS: It's a good idea to have a GPS. But look at Nokia N95, ask everyone around how's the feedback for being GPS integrated. The first thing will be the battery life, it drains so fast that you dont even realised! How about this? Get a Bluetooth GPS unit, while the O2 Flame connect to the GPS using Bluetooth ONLY for longer usage? Isnt it a better idea?

Font: There is a font patch out there for this PDA to read Chinese.

So far using this device. Didnt notice any bugs or problem.

Someone mentioned on the mp4 video being laggy. I noticed this too. Which i suppose this should not be happening. Likely something to do with the GPU. Anyone knows how to set or config the GPU itself?

I'm very pleased with my 02 xda flame. So far so good. If it's too big for you, buy abluetooth set. This is an excellent device. no regret.

To Louie

It has a 2.5mm jack, I already own an adaptor :)
Display really is excellent, makes it a real pleasure to use. Dont have any 3d games to test it on yet but I am planning to get Call of Duty soon. Videos are really smooth and look good on TVout.
Camera pics are sharp and clear, very happy with it, much better than the usual ones found on PDAs.
It uses a mini USB.
Yes you can use BT keyboard, or even better use a normal USB full sized keyboard and then use a BT mouse so you end up with a functional PC:)
Sound through the speakers is average but sounds excellent through the headphones.
Should also mention the O2 software package is generous and works flawlessly. So far I have not encountered any bugs.
