I have this phone and initially the battery life was terrible. Most handsets these days do not need the 24 hour charge before you use it, but this phone does. if you give it a good 24 hour charge it will last for days with no issues. Apart from that a little awkward to use for anyone moving from a standard handset but functionality is great.

TomTom 6 should work. Anyone have any idea about the battery? I hardly use the phone in the day and the battery gets hammered. All wi-fi, bluetooth etc are turned off. Very annoying..did someone say theirs lasted a few days?

this phone is aweful, our company inflicted them on us. Im going as far to say I am now going to spend my own money on getting another phone rather than put up with this piece of junk.

DO NOT BUY THIS FONE FOR ANY REASON

bad battery life (1day max)
bad reception
phone freezes for no reason, fix by removing battery
in bad signal areas with no reception it reports reception, in areas with great reception it reports none and wont let you make calls.

your better off with 2 tin cans and a bit of rope

I conclude that there is a reconnection problem whenever this phone encounters a weak signal. Sometimes it can reconnect but with no guarantee. Most of the time I have to turn it off/on to re-establish a connection. This is the third handset replacement O2 gave me but with the same problem. One example of reconnection failure was when I arrived in the office, my O2 XDA 2i (with a pay as you go O2 SIM in it) registered 4/4 signal strenght while this phone has no connection (this is indicated with a "slashed circle" beside the antenna icon), I have to turn it on/off to re-establish a signal which registers 4/4 after that.

If I am on a weak signal area, although the XDA Graphite will register 1 to 2 bars but quite often I encounter call/SMS failure. I missed several important calls/SMS because of this.

Its really a shame because apart from that problem, everything works fine (active sync, bluetooth, wifi, skype application, etc). I'll be returning this phone & will get a Nokia E65 instead.

To the person who works for O2 or anyone that can help me.

I've just recently got the graphite and think it's a great phone. it met one of my requirementsm which was a phone that still looked like a phone but worked like a PDA. it is a powerful phone. However, I have one wee problem. I have a legitimate piece of software but when I try to install it I get the error message 'Access denied. The program cannot start because it is not digitally signed with a trusted certificate'. yes it is a legitimate piece of software, brought and paid for and did work on previous phone.

any suggestions appreciated.

Phones is most irritating, i cant connect to any wireless networks(secured or unsecured), and if a do it doesnt browse. Thier is a buzzing in the earpiece while making calls similar t when u pu the phones next to an external speaker or radio. I love everthing else on this phone but the wifi and earpiece make this phone worthless. Hopefully its just this handset.

After I did "Hard Reset", If I choose "Tone" for the keypress sound there's no sound at all. But for "Click", still okay.
Help please...

There is definitely a problem with this phone reconnecting after losing the signal- I need to turn it off then back on, which is annoying.

On the plus side, this phone is Bluetooth v2.0 so it does support a2dp.
Also has a 2.5mm headset port

Had to return the phone after a week & I got a replacement but still the same problem, poor performance on weak signal areas (compared to my other 5 phones). I also noticed it cannot reconnect right away. I thought my XDA2i was the worst in terms of signal performance but this phone is the most terrible. I think when they design this phone they forgot to put an antenna (that is the most logical answer I can think of). The phone is too good to be smashed and thrown away, I’ll just call O2 tomorrow and tell them to put a cellular transmitter right beside my house.

In addition to my previous comment.

Screen quality is very good indoors. Step outside into moderate sunlight and the screen is almost totally obscured.

Would i buy this phone again? No, i think there are better phones out there.

I've had this phone for 2 months now.
Battery life=Not bad (About 2/3 days average usage) but will drain very very quickly when using Wi-Fi. Battery seems to last longer if you use mains charger as opposed to USB charging.
Build Quality=Nothing special. Battery cover is flimsy and buttons seem to 'float' around a bit. Joystick temperamental when selecting 'up'.
General Design=Camera/video quality is very good. Sound/call quality is good if a little quiet.

Usage=I think there are better quality phones on the market but this isn't a bad phone. One infuriating problem is that the "cancel call' button sits higher than the '3' key so i keep canceling as i'm texting. V. annoying.

i've had one of these for 2 months now. good phone, excellent balance of weight, dimensions, quality of components. you need to be a little careful with battery life if you use it all day (i do, email/mp3/phone/web/wifi), but it's a great replacement in my view

I have the Graphite and fromn what I can tell, you cant use TomTom Mobile5. I have been on to TomTom and they said they have no earthly idea if and when it will be updated !!!
