good phone, no problems what so ever. Can't say the same for my son. About 3 month old, and it started to play up. Sent it away, they said it was the board, replaced it under warranty.Took 4 weeks,came back unlocked, works real good.
have wma player, ogg player, mp3 player, all work good, trying to find a radio for it.
Can anyone tell me if they have unlocked their phone from optus.

I'm having troubles connecting the USB cable to my X701 phone. It keeps freezing when I try to connect it up with my PC!!

It is a good phone, you get many features at a low price. If you want mp3 and wma player, try using WMAPlus! It uses it`s own decoders, so mp3 and wma will work for sure, I am now listening to music. :) The battery isn`t that good though, if you listen on mp3 and play some movies using SmartMovie, it will last 16 hours maximum.
BTW, you can even play some n-gage games on it, if you know how to get them working. :P

well this fone is very good, i've been able to put songs into it through the usb and programs... it was pretty cheap and useful, now the only thing i gotta get me is a headset for the music
I heard really bad comments about this fone but non of those things happened to my fone... i'm still impressed by all the features, especially the voice dial

i have got all those stuff that should be in good palmtop.
high color webpages very low price.
and bluethooth is very good and fast way to access to ur friends and PC.

My old X700 is very awful, for a month, it had a very short battery life, (72 hours average) I sent it to Panasonic and I think the phone is running worse. It now has about 30 hours battery, the phone freezes when you try to connect it to USB. Phone is so slow, even to start charging from power off.

I have this phone and have to say that it has to be the worse phone I have every brought. this handset is the 3rd I have had replaced, 1st time the memorie went and I lost all my contacts and everything else. then it started going all wild on me and had to be replaced (screen flickering, lines everywhere, pics distorted etc). and the 3rd time it just went to phone heaven ( or hell) I would have to say that I would not recommend this phone to anyone.

Till this date eveerything was fine... But i heard a lot many complaints on the phone... the phone is not very user friendly... it is often habged and very slow in performance... it has a very frequent software problems.. te main thing here is a complaint. I am not sure if someone takes this into account(executive).. i got a problem in my mobile regarding software.. i gave my mobile to service centre and till now i didin't get it it's three weeks by now. the people kept telling that it ill take time.. and it's still repeating... it's a panasonic service center in chennai... near diraisamy subway...
