What..? $552 for this phone??
What if you get a phone for $535 with the following specs??
6"Quard HD display in a 6.2" body (lesser body size than 5.5" iphone 6+)
Snap Dragon 801
3 GB RAM
16MP main with 4k recording & 5MP front
Full metal body
32 GB ROM
4000 mah battery
Dual sim model also available
Name of this beast is Lenovo vibe Z2 pro..
Now do you feel to call names at all other OEMs for pricing their craps so high??
the midrange is supposed to be a competitive place. In 2014, it looks like a vast wasteland of overpriced phones.
Specs are equal to moto g and price is higher than moto x. A metal frame cost that much?
If S6 has the same design and and dimension with A5, I'm gonna pass with Note 4 and wait for S6.
Just because it looks like an iPhone 5 doesn't make it an Apple. Samsung needs to understand that.
So it's a Moto G 2014 with a metal frame and a bit more camera pixels for more than double the price? Srsly?
please samsung provide us cost effective phone and not a midrange phone with 552$
Identical specs with Motorola Moto G 2014, but 3 times more expensive. Dead on arrival.
I like the phone but not buying as its too expensive, going for Redmi or Moto. Still holding on to mySamsung Galaxy S2.
I will buy this phone if snapdragon 410 or 600 or 615 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, FM radio, and waterproof for that price. $552 for midranger is unacceptable :(.
Basically a Moto G with a slightly larger screen and better cameras. For more than twice the money.
I will not be surprised one bit if people will just skip this one.
Better to get a Moto x 2014.it has way better specs, looks and well........ everything!!!!
Samsung goes the Apple way
Pricing mediocre as almost premium...
They have a serious inferiority complex problem...
Anonymous, 28 Oct 2014Don't quite like Samsung's new 'direction'. They seem to be pricing things higher, for less. A... moreYeah they are definitely taking the customers for granted. We can be sure it will have no quick updates, if you're lucky maybe Android 5.0 as part of a single update effort 8-9 months from launch.
The customers are fortunately not apple zealots and so they will vote with their wallets. This is happening already, there are way too many options right now. Regardless of how great Sony's Z3 maybe or LG's G2 or G3 or G4 or whatever Motorola has a better product overall because of one prime reason: 'Stock android' that facilities easy quick update rollouts.
Apart from Motorola no OEM seems to give a damn about the non flagship phones when it comes to OS updates. How can they when they bloat it with their garbage UIs? Oh no they can't waste profits to support the customer who paid good hard earned money for those phones, that's bad for filthy shameless business.
