It was only two days ago that we saw the first photos of the Sony Ericsson XPERIA Rachael and now we can already confirm that it is really in the works. What's more we just received a brief video demonstrating the UI of the Android-powered handset.

Are people here daft or are you just acting? Since when does computer animated photos count as live shots or evidence? These are not real shots of the phone, it's computer animated graphic, they can put a purple picture of Shrek on back as long as it's not a real photo, jesus!

The new Xperia is gonna be made by a Taiwanese company called Foxconn. It's gonna have a 8mp camera, OLED screen, motion detected menus and a full slide out qwerty keyboard. It's gonna be upgradable with Windows 7.0 even if the first ones will have Windows 6.5

wow nice phone, but it mostly likely won't be release till 2012 if we are lucky. Sony Ericsson are so slow on the release of there smart phone that by the time it releases most of the people waiting on it already bought other phones. Like the first Xperia i end up getting a Samsung

I can write Xperia on the back of a iPhone 3G in photoshop, it still does not make it the new xperia, www.mobil.se is the most respected official industrial cellphone magazine in scandinavia, they get all official mobiles news direct from the manufacturers and get to test mobile tehnology before anyone else, specially from Ericsson and Nokia.

Fifthly, Android/Sony UI is great. real innovation..which is pretty much needed now as every Tom, Dick & Harry is Doing this.

the video is not official from sony ericsson. well. se fans boy, just hope it's true and hit the market soon. maybe racheal fate will just like x1 and satio. just keep waiting

What the?? Check your sources GSMarena. This is a totally different fully touch operated non-qwerty keyboard slide out Android line from Ericsson and has nothing to do with the Xperia line. The Xperis 2 will basically look like the original Xperia, except a bit thinner and a bit old school front look with a slide-out qwerty keyboard. Xperis is the office line and the Rachel blongs to Ericssons new full touch multimedia web family like the Satio and Aino. Don't mix this with Xperia, they are even developed by different developers in Ericsson.

the leak said the experia 5 but its not it known as the sony ericsson expera and thats it it sound a bit daft tho naming it that since the experia 1 has been out a few month so why would ya wana go back it should been the xperia 2 and the experia 2 should of been experia 3
