regarding release date.
SE has not made this phone public yet, of couse it will not be released soon. I wojld say christmas sales.

i agree wit de statement that SE was not de best if comparing to the giants likes nokia and samsung..but that s de past,now i can see SE finally start to take things seriously n rely put a lots of effort to increase their market share n brg back their reputation..as an examples,de entertainment unlimited series, satio n aino rely looks promising to me..looks at satio spec,a s60 smart phone with 12 MP camera,that s something that se nvr done before,now with se xperia rachael...therefore,i think v should give se a chance to corrert their past stupid blunder,moreover,its always good to forgive rite??

I just hope they do not delay its release just like in the first xperia I am very interested to get the phone but I dont if i will still be interested next year

Samsung brings up uselfull innovations.
AMOLED technology is not just a gimmick, it is revolutionairy.
What does SE bring up?
No 3,5mm audiojack,Fastport,microM2 are just needless and annoying ,that, which i really hope, SE now throws away.

But at the end it's an SE phone, SE decides the specification, gets licenses for the technologies used, decides which electronics and from which manufacturer will be used inside it, but only it will be made at other factory.

I agree to jackson, i won´t waste money for SE phones ever again.
I had many SE phones K800i,P1,X1 all made me sick. And now I own a Samsung i8910 and this is the best phone i´ve ever had,ok there are still some small bugs but compared to SE Samsung works. And i wlll also wait for the Killerdevices i8000 Omnia 2, SE can keep their trash and go to hell

Marketing and product strategy of SE wasn't working for them in 2008, which caused the sales to drop significantly in the results you provided.
But IMO, their 2009/2010 portfolio is looking really sharp! Lets hope the market is ready to embrace a different set of tone from Sony Ericsson.
BTW, LG and Samsung produces alot of trendy phones. Mass production of touch screens, which is why they were hugely successful in 2008/2009. Same reason why Nokia and SE sales dropped... Lets hope thats about to change! I'm sick of LG and Samsung's gimmicks.
