Hey for the firmware update you need to do the following.
1) Make sure your battery power is Full!
2) Backup your data.Even though Nokia does try to preserve your data. Its best to be safe.
3) Make sure your internet connection is accessible via the phone.
4) Dial *#0000#
5) Just follow the instructions as they appear on the device.
6) Device will connect to the internet and download the latest firmware available.

2. remove the microsd card(this is what prevented me from updating causing the program to say that the connection to the phone was lost)
3. select tools>software update from the program and follow the instructions

This will be great been waiting for a long time, nokias excuse was that the 5800 didnt have enough internal memory but why does the 5530 deal with all this with only 71mb?, anyway we're still waiting and hope to see the update with widgets soon

For the new startpage layout: Go into the phone's Settings, Customize*, Themes, Front page theme* and then choose Contact field*.
(* = Unsure of the english name but you should be able to guess what I mean if you open the menu.)
