if Xiaomi products will come to Middle East, well i can say is it will be the big thing here esp. in Saudi Arabia. hope somebody will bring this nice and beauty smartphone asap.
What...Xiaomi No.1 in the next 5 to 10 years. Congratulations to them, unless Apple or Samsung do not innovate and goes the way of Nokia.
it says "feels confident" for the CEO, wonder when will it be "confident" then let's see how it all works :)
Anonymous, 21 Nov 2014First stop showing Chinese language for international versionWell pointed.
If you want to be no.1 please update redmi 1s to lollipop or release source code!
Cheap phones will mean higher quantity. Yes the bulk is high but that doesnt mean the quality is there. How can you be a number 1 smartphone company when the only thing you look at is number of phones instead of quality and innovation.
Plus, in 10 years the labour cost will increase meaning no more sales.
Why? Let me explain the reasons (Ooops, reason). Because?
Xiaomi is CHEAP (if you buy the phone cheaply, you don't care about future OS updates etc.). When you are bored, you just throw it away and buy a new phone. If the phone is cheap but doing the job perfectly, your expectations are very low. You don't become angry when it brokes down. You just replace it. So simple.
If others are trying to compete with Xiaomi, they have to sell phones CHEAP. Do you hear Samsung & HTC?
Not possible with the limited market they have targeted. They need to sell phones everywhere to achieve this.
God knows if smartphone would just be another pager after 10 years. When the big names are all out for other gadgets, enjoy yourself being #1 in blood
M.G, 21 Nov 2014Then start making phone instead ifironing rod. your phones heats like I can even make omelet o... moreToo bad one of the makers of metal phones which are cool-to-touch-even-after-prolonged-use is dead. pantech.

They should pay for any patents they use. Thus the price rose significantly. Otherwise they'll only became pit winner.
If they continue their high-specs-low-price policy with proper costumer support and expand their market immediately, they'll definitely get there within the next two years, not five, let alone ten. Guaranteed.
gsmarena7, 21 Nov 2014i totally agree with u brotherThis is only your point of view, if Windows is childish os and its run on mediocre machine built by unknown company then performance should be not like Dell, HP, like u know, so this is also on Android, that's why Android phones build by brand company is worth to buy, not mucht to sayabout your beloved apple company here,
I personally think they could do it in less than 10 years.. With their kind of marketing strategy and the quality of their products they could do it in just three years..
MdN8, 21 Nov 2014Really? Most people on the internet can't properly pronounce Samsung or Nokia... Even iPhone, ... moreActually I don't believe you. Prove it. Link.
I just asked everyone in my office, and no one pronounced it properly. 2 think it was jibberish and passed altogether.
As a native English speaker I've had no problems with pronunciation of any other manufacturer. Huawei is a weird one to say too though.
