Those 'metal' around edges of phones, don't they chip away or degrade at some point? Regardless, my body just is not a fan of metal phones, metallic phones, phones with metallic chassis/frames, or phones (not just on phones but also other objects) with too much metal parts that comes in contact with any part of my body. In a competitive market you can't introduce new models all the time because you are going to end up spending more than you earn.
Samsung really needs to cut down the models for 2015. Too many variants messed them up. Not to mention the Chinese market bringing out cheaper phones.
