Personally I'm going to buy this as my secondary phone, I'd say the design looks rather improved than the edgy 1S. I really wished for a GPE of this phones, I prefer stock android.

Instead of enlarging smartphones reinvent them to another level of phones not just smart. :(
Looks thinner but wider. I hope the software bugs will be ironed out. Now I realise the specs aren't really the most important thing in buying a phone.
Strange, current trend dictates that displays must get bigger and lower resolution in thinner phones or else noone will buy it, so this should have been 5 to 5.2 inch and have qHD resolution. This one is so doomed, way too high PPI. /s
Letsw see what Sony can do, their midrange went from 4.6" 720p in 2013 to 4.8" and above qHD in 2014 so we should see WVGA at 6 inch from Sony this year if the trend holds, and in 2016 all their phones will be 7 to 8 inch and have only one giant pixel. Xiaomi is doing it wrong, this way they risk actually selling phones, they should learn from Sony how to keep the customers far away.
http://www.mi.com/hongmi2/?ADT...420342138250 Redmi 2 launched. dual sim 4G. 64 bit Snapdragon 410. Oh compatible with all world 4G bands. That's some chip.
Rick, 03 Jan 2015Will it be 2S or 1S LTE ?Don't think it'll be the LTE variant of the 1S as the dimensions have changed and the rear camera flash location has been placed beside the camera instead of below it. But you may be right none the less, just have to wait for the official announcement.
