Bunyip22, 12 Jan 2015Yeah... because android at 85% global market share is worried about apple at under 12%... LOL!... moreHow does that 85% market share help Samsung who lost 75% profits? Is it exactly the same effect for HTC, Sony, Xiaomi?
Where do you guys go to learn basic analysis? Probably nowhere.

I do hope they extend the trade-in to other countries, it just saves so much time not having to sell your phone via the ordinary, traditional means.
Imran9, 12 Jan 2015Ya, u r right. Samsung Note series far better than Apple iPhone. People buy iPhone just bcoz... moreSamsung have brainwashed their users with long speclist for year or two. Now people have woken up and buying something else and samsung is going down fast.
er.rohit, 12 Jan 2015Try Samsung's Note series it's far better than iPhones. Ya, u r right. Samsung Note series far better than Apple iPhone. People buy iPhone just bcoz of name and luxury.

Toyota always sells more than Ferrari. Do you say that Ferrari is bad because they sold less ? of course not.
Business models followed by both companies are different. If Ferrari sells one car, they get lot of profit. Toyota must sell like 30 cars to get same profits.
If both Ferrari and Toyota sold same number of cars or 1:2 ratio, then Toyota is in trouble because they don't get enough margins from selling low-end cars as opposed to Ferrari.
Same applies for Apple and Samsung.
If Apple sells one iPhone, Samsung must sell like 10 phones to get same amount of profit. That's why Apple takes 84% of total smartphone profits worldwide even though their marketshare is less than 15% :
Every company is trying so hard to sell more phones because they couldn't make a proper high-end phone like Apple or Nokia (in past).
It's high time Apple wakes up to the potential of Indian buyers and offer schemes like attractive trade-ins and discounts on its flagships and offcourse, launch the iPhones in the first phase of its release as it does with all advanced countries like US, Canada and the UK.
Offcourse, after using the 4 and the 5, I switched to the 6 and it performs like a dream. Sure, it doesn't have mind-blowing specs, but it provides what matters the most: consistent smartphone experience and for the most part, it gets the job done better than rivals.
[deleted post]Hey, different people value different things. It's also true that some people are more stingy than others... everyone can do with their money as they please.
SAD. But you have to give it to crApple PR; enriching the lives of many a phone blog. If Samsung were to sell only 500k smartphones in India, every Apple fanboi would be crowing about Samsung's imminent demise.
ME, 12 Jan 2015It is 1% of the market.Yup, the top 1%.
Don't get me started about the remaining 99%.
I don't Understand why mocking each other. Surely i have used both the devices and both have their own advantages and disadvantages. People who compare these two devices are Nuts. buy the device which suits your need
ok apy, 12 Jan 2015now get that... poor DROID fan boys.. this actually shows Indian economy is rising upYeah... because android at 85% global market share is worried about apple at under 12%... LOL!
These numbers do not mean anything, unless it gives what number actually was bought by the retail users. Now a days, most of the companies are switching over to apple from blackberry for official mobility. So I am sure a great share of these phones would have been bought by the corporates.
