From androidpit.com":
"Samsung hasn't been doing so well lately, with execs being guilted into handing back their bazillion dollar bonuses, fewer devices on the product lineup for this year and sales which have likely reduced the number of beach houses its staff are buying. The latest news implies that Samsung is now eying the component market even more seriously than before, potentially as a supplement to its plummeting smartphone sales, and it is planning to use the Galaxy S6 to get there..."
Samsung competing with Qualcomm? Can somebody please slap some sense into Samsung? Thanks!

AnonD-323240, 27 Jan 2015the overheating its real, trust meSeems like you have been using SD on Samsung...hahahaha

90% of Samsung buyers don't care if its Qualcomms or Samsung's SoC.
People just want to know this: "Its fast?" "How many cores?" "Will be faster then an iphone?" "Can I play any upcoming game"...

The rumours this year are crazy

Fact: Samsung is getting killed in the handset business.
So, Samsung is getting out of the handset business and into the chipset business. This is free advertisement for them: trash the Snapdragon.
Qualcomm should sue the crap out of them. But I guess they are giving them benefit of the doubt.
Good luck Samsung with your new chipset business and IoT business.
It's the game changing which Samsung promised the previous year
Over heating issue is real...
complete mess, exynos never was popular between developers, and sd chipsets was sure as one go for every phone maker and still it is, i have really big doubts about exynos chipsets, but if rumors are true and qualcomm realy mess it up so it doesnt change anything, exynos only has future in samsung devices besides few other models which using exynos, completly opposite for SD which every phone maker using them
AnonD-323240, 27 Jan 2015the overheating its real, trust meNo it isn't. Samsung overclocking to cheat in synthetic benchmarks, then yes (which is a useless test method anyway).
Exynos 7240 :
Geekbench single core- 1500
Geekbench multi core - 5500
Snapdragon 810:
Geekbench single core - 1200
Geekbench multi core - 3500
Theres no way a 20nm Snapdragon can compete because Exynos is a 14nm finFET chip, and uses the same CPU architecture
"New theory: Samsung ditching S810 for business reasons"
This "new theory" is all over the apple's propaganda media! LOL
If you are REAL tech media, please tell us - is there problems with SD 810, is the overheating REAL on SD 810, OR NOT??????????????
Well, bashing Samsung must go on, with all means. Even dirty ones.
They are not US company so they deserve it. You must be patriots.
The issue with Snapdragon 810 probably has more to do with throttling. I had a device with 22nm Haswell that throttled a lot. Ended up replacing it with 14nm Broadwell that doesn't throttle and with more consistent performance. I can envision the same benefits with 14nm Exynos vs 20nm Snapdragon 810.
If all these are samsung bs, then why is QCOMM willing to provide Sammy with a modified version of the SD 810? Make sense huh?
