i dont think xiaomi need to expand their wings to US, just not worth it... xiaomi can be number 1 without US or europe. as we can see now europe with its euro is shrinking with lots of debts from its member, US is not even a superpower anymore... would be number 2 in GDP behind China.... while asians are getting richer and richer...
I just dont get it... when they feel they are losing their grounds then all they can shout is COPYCAT !!! grown up boys !!! Mi note pro is the first using 4gb DDR4 - , if the next apple 7 using 4gb or using DDR4 memory would it be a copycat also? when apple turn to a bigger screen cellular with iphone 6plus , can we say that move actually a copycat also? cos in the past they say phablet wont be a success.
i definetely think Mi note pro is better than apple... but i dont agree with xiaomi making such event trading iphones with MI NOTE. Just dont start a war that way... if xiaomi want to be number 1 just concentrate on makin good phones that will outclass other brands...
Anonymous, 04 Feb 2015If u need to update a rom every 14 days, that's really bad and annoying product. You can decide how many updates you want. There is always The stable Version that gets updated only for mayor additional features. Like in IOS.
And then there are the developer updates, u can, if you want, get all the New features as soon AS they are deceloped, but keep in mind that this is more like a beta testing of the software.
The good thing is, its up to you whether you want a software that just works or if you always want to be the first to get new features.
In terms of android version, you cannot say a xiaomi needs android l as soon as its out, that would be like if you say the nexus needs the new miui update as soon as its released... Miui has more in common with iOS than with android in some parts. Many android users don't like it, I don't mind I like that they try to take the best out of both worlds... So the android version is a part of the miui software but an android update changes less than a miui update, you should better ask do all the xiaomi phones get their miui updates? And yes they do, the 2,5 years old mi2 runs the exact same software than the mi4 does, you won't find this anywhere in the android liga, xiaomi is the only android based company that handels updates like apple does.
So of course they copy many of apples features, but in contract to Samsung, they try to copy the useful ones :D
Pistolao, 04 Feb 2015Xiaomi is the only one to update its rom every 14 days, feel sorry for ios if you do any comparison. If u need to update a rom every 14 days, that's really bad and annoying product.

so patchetic.. so chinese companies sticking in usa asses going in their cities and then endin up with NOT sellin their phones there anyway..
why the you going there?!?!?
just do events in EU ? Christ
It's sad how a decent website such as GSMArena can be littered with such useless and mentally degrading comments.
Let's be clear - Xiaomi only sells because they 'save' the R&D costs by copying/ infringing patents.
And every one of you rocking your Meizus/ Xiaomis only do so because it costs much less than the iPhone and NOT because it is a better phone.
Am I saying that Apple devices are better? NO, but whatever they do, they do right.
Ka7be, 04 Feb 2015Yea i don't need warranty I own a Meizu MX3 for over 1 year, never had a single problem.
I... moreI wont even make fun of the warranty comment anymore because its just so hilariously stupid.
Videos can be faked son, how do you know the iphone doesnt have games running in the background to slow it down?
As for security, you lied by saying that iOS only allows for PIN passwords. You also mentioned ZERO security features that Android has over iOS.
Go learn about something first before talking.

I like how you ignore my response with proof than find other excuses lol....
Security features! Read again what i posted about Security, You need to stop your lame fanboyism cause it blinding you from reading what other people are saying.
And if you "think" apple is doing good. What are you doing here bashing a small Chinese company? and why you thumb up your own comments? are you that disparate?
Don't let me start with how many times Apple copied other companies. Cause i don't really have time for mindless fanboys like you.

And sensor alone doesnt mean anything kid, its about software and optimization.
And if you dont know the difference between icloud and ios then you obviously know nothing about technology.
An Google play as better than App store? Sure if you want 10,000 copies of fake flappy bird applications that display 5 ads on a page.

- Haha good made phone don... moreCongratulations. This is the worst comment I have read on this website. Ever. That's quiet an amazing accomplishment.
First, 'good made' phones dont need warranty? lol. Im not even going to answer that because its the single dumbest thing Ive heard anyone say.
Second, You have never even used an iphone in real life let alone own it to say that about the password. iphones allow for alphanumeic passwords, not just 4 digit PIN codes.
And Android has more security features than iOS? Please list them.
As for the video, you think thats a proper test of focus speed and shot to shot speed? lol.
And the display quality video lol, you are seeing a video of two screen that is displayed on your screen and think that its concrete evidence? No mention of contrast ratios? Viewing angles? Color reproduction?
You have no idea how mobile phones work do you?

- Security? Xiaomi's Andriod has More phone security options
"The iPhone lets you swipe, scan a fingerprint, or enter in a four-number PIN number to unlock your device. Android offers more choice: you can enter in a PIN number that's four or more numbers, trace a pattern across a grid of dots, have Android scan your face, or use a super long password to unlock the phone. Samsung’s Galaxy S5 also lets you use a fingerprint scanner, if you so wish, while the LG G3 has its neat Knock Code. Also, when you encrypt your Android device, the OS requires that you set up a PIN number or pattern to keep your phone locked up. It’s one good way to get in the habit of password protecting your phone, and if all else fails and you still lose your device you can track it down with the web-based Android Device Manager."
- Worlds best app store? Google play better than Apple app store.
- Dose iphone have Total interface customization? no lol Well Xiaomi has.
Ka7be, 04 Feb 2015The funny part is that the frying pan company, can do a 6.8mm thin smartphone with no protrudi... morePretty sure the fruit company could put in a worse sensor module and make the camera fit in properly like the frying pan company..
But guess you wouldn't care.. You seem to be the megapixel guy..
