AnonD-122899, 26 Feb 2015Because I have experienced the pain of wasting time and efforts of asking HTC to change the dy... moreHonestly Chief, no offence intended but if you feel so strongly about the removable battery thing...and love Samsung,
go for an S5.
AnonD-262157, 26 Feb 2015cause battery lose efficiency with time, one year is enough to see battery performance going do... moreOnce I had to send my S1 to Vodafone Support when it stopped working after over 1 and half years.
Yeah the 5 or so working days waiting for it were a pain, so much so that I contacted Samsung when I had an issue with my S4. Samsung advised me to source an Official Samsung Repair Outlet near my home.
Had my device back the next day with nothing wiped from the memory.
Cannot beat the 2 year warranty on Samsung Mobiles!!!
Oh dear - it's all over for Samsung's dominance in the cell phone market imo :S
According to this article, adopting unpracticle design features & ergonomics of other OEMs (glass back, inflexible heat accumulating signal deflecting aluminum) and removing functional practical characteristics (removable back panel, water proofing etc) is considered - "a massive step forward for the company in terms of design and tactility."
Utter nonsense!
Making your device appear identical to others to appease unrational reasoning is a huge mistake.
For those of you who haven't figured it out yet - lack of removable battery means if/when this thing hangs & needs a hard reboot, you have to wait until the battery drains. It also means you can extend the longevity of a device's life.
Clearly the 2nd reason is bad for business, which may explain Samsung's decision for this. No amount of marketing about wireless charging will divert from what is clearly a desperate cash grab as their profits tumble.
Someone please let me know if there is another other OEM that provides a removable battery. If there is none - we're facing the end of an era - sadly :S
Hanglow, 26 Feb 2015This isn't the Galaxy S6.
Or at least it isn't the final version of it.
There was an ima... moreYup . This is manipulation. This guy think that we all are trained iMonkeys.
First of all, ask yourself: WHY the guy on purpose AND VERY CAREFULLY hide the logo on all pictures flouting all over the media!!
LOL

There was an image leaked last week which shows the Galaxy S6, and S6 Edge variants in a promo image for a phone case company. The image had the phones both by themselves, and inside a case.
You only saw the back of the S6, but the camera/flash modules were swapped over, the flash was on the bottom, not the top as it was presented here.
AnonD-122899, 26 Feb 2015Because I have experienced the pain of wasting time and efforts of asking HTC to change the dy... moreNever had an HTC but realise battery kill could happen to any phone mate. When if/it does happen, take it or send back to the store or network provider.
Hopefully they will sort you:)
AnonD-266737, 26 Feb 2015all i can see here is an iphone.iPhone 6/6 Plus copy the edges of Note 2. Check it out.

chopsticks, 26 Feb 2015Fair point Neighbor, but I have never NEVER carried a spare battery or owned a battery chargin... moreBecause I have experienced the pain of wasting time and efforts of asking HTC to change the dying battery for my HTC m7. With a removable battery, I can just do the job myself.
fake fake fake terrible chinese copy
The guy also mentions there is no micro sd card slot
all i can see here is an iphone.
I do not see any SD slot
Chopsticks, 26 Feb 2015I should qualify that with the fact I am a Samsung phone user for yonks (currently S4).cause battery lose efficiency with time, one year is enough to see battery performance going down, you can just change the battery, with a non removable battery you have to send the phone to support and pay stupidly huge amount,so you will probably not do it and keep an underperforming battery
I hope it's fake.

If non-removable battery, we will not be able to troubleshoot especially when phone hangs...if this is the design, it will be a HUGE disappointment...so iPhone-ish...
Galaxy a5 is way better than this.
TheNeighbor, 26 Feb 2015If the NON-removable battery is true, it would very much turn me off with having to deal with ... moreFair point Neighbor, but I have never NEVER carried a spare battery or owned a battery charging unit in my puff!
Serious question...why is the removable battery so important to you (and Samsung mobile fans).?
