JP, 05 Apr 2015The author of the article cited incorrect information regarding Geekbench single core scoring.... moreHere's the most recent numbers on benchmarking of Exynos 7420 and you must be an Apple AirHead. Because.... there are two different Single Core Scores according to which core on Big/Little A-53 or A-57 you're talking about.

Get off the RDF'd FUD and Misinformation iKoolaide and maybe join Appleholics Anonymous! lol....
Exynos 7420 with it's HMP (Heterogeneous Multicore Processing) SoC forcing all competitors to EAT their own shorts! :D .....and dude I have no idea where you're getting 950 on Geekbench 3 single core scoring.... but it's WRONG!!!
TrinYa, 04 Apr 2015Qualcomm said 820 will be custom A-57 Cores, but Samsung went a step ahead and chose A-72. Qua... moreYou're wrong both are gonna use custom core.
Qualcomm-Kyro or Pyro don't remember the name
Apple-Don't know if it's a die shrink or a new design
Nvidia-They will be using ARM reference design
The author of the article cited incorrect information regarding Geekbench single core scoring. In order for the current 7420 SOC to line up with the figure posted (45% faster than current-- 2200), it would have to score about 1500 currently, whereas it actually scores about 950, making a score of 2200 about a 125% increase.
KuyaTokiTokyTalks, 04 Apr 2015Does anyone here would believe if I say that the next Exynos chipset could even further shrink... moreEventually. We know this is going to happen. Intel and Samsung are in the race for this.
KuyaTokiTokyTalks, 04 Apr 2015Well if I am right and I really believe I do, that would then begin the annihilation of Apple'... moreSadly you are wrong. Though it will eat into apple some.
Apple caught up in size....Samsung caught up in what everything thinks phone materials have to be.
Qualcomm said 820 will be custom A-57 Cores, but Samsung went a step ahead and chose A-72. Qualcomm lost again.
Well if I am right and I really believe I do, that would then begin the annihilation of Apple's iBend, and perhaps, close its mobile division altogether! For how can they possibly catch Samsung if they are still going to be stocked at the 20 nanometer technology, and even more so, that Samsung, is even the one making its old (A9 chip)! What's your bet?
#the rapture is at hand, don't be left behind!
Does anyone here would believe if I say that the next Exynos chipset could even further shrink its size down-to 10 nanometer?
PKC, 04 Apr 2015Can anyone explain what is 20nm and 14nm architecture. Don't say about the performance or batt... moreSize.
20 nanometer vs 14 nameter chip.
The smaller you can get the chip the distance it has to travel to complete the same tasks using less energy and creating less heat.
Can anyone explain what is 20nm and 14nm architecture. Don't say about the performance or battery, that we already know. What basic difference between these two? Anyone please ????
Meerkat!!! I love those guys! Yaay for project Meerkat ;)
That being said I hope the Note 5 comes out soon cuz the S6 is not for me and the release of the Note 5 should have a price effect on the Note 4 (bring em down) as i love it but can't afford it right now
techielover, 04 Apr 2015They were untill the exynos 7420.
Why does the k1 not being an apple chip matter? No they were not. They were ahead in single thread because they are larger chores made for single thread and not made to multi thread as much which is why they are dual core.
And the did you even read what I said and what it was in reply to?
"Trying to beat the dual core in reference to apple"
"Long since done"
"A7/A8 and Denver k1 says otherwise". The Denver k1 made no sense or relation to what was said.
Anonymous, 03 Apr 2015So when mediatek makes more cores processor, its market gimmick and when samsung does it, its ... moreMediatek's SoC are using stock ARM cores.
Samsung is designing their own CPU cores.
There is a difference.
