I'm pretty sure the image is fake. Live shot of the screen while the outline of the phone and background are computer generated! To me this indicates a photo shop job, a very good one, but a fake none the less. Also, Meamo 6 rumors seem to be unfounded, the image suggests Meamo 4!As much as I want this phone, based on the evidence I have to conclude it's a fake. What do you guys think?
Nokia ,,, This is a free advice for you,,, JUST KEEP IT NOKIA
and dont ever think to copy mac iphones coz you will never beat it
so just keep selling nokia shety cheap plastic phones like the N`s :)
Thank you all ,,,,, :)
It's most likely to be a fake from the land of fake manufacturers (China). By now Nokia itself would have released info re this new model. There is a successor to N900 but thats by 2nd Quarter of Y2010. Why would Nokia risk introducing another model before the release of its first deserving model with a Maemo 5 OS during recession. Nokia isn't mad. They are cautious and therefore this surely is a fake.
that'll advise me not to like this. i am absolutely not a afan of online keyboards
[deleted post]You have no basis for your post as i have never said resistive is better.I know capacitive is easier, but not for cold weather or gloves.Which page on the iphone 3gs forum did i ever say resistive is better? Tell me!
It's sad how there are so many non-qwerty bashers, you're worse than the apple fanboys. Atleast they get to brag about a phone, you guys just bash a keyboard, sad really..
maemo looks one of the best OS, if it truly is once it's hit the market, i think nokia should leave Symbian for maemo in all their smartphones.....
i think this is a good device now for nokia..knowing the fluidity of the n900, i think this is a great leap to a fne with a multi touch UI..my n97 works great for me, how much from this device..
Not the phone I hoped for, but Im not sure I ever thought N920 would be it... so fake or not...
I wish Nokia would make an Maemo running Phone, with maximum 3.8" screen, with AMOLED technology, I know that Nokia TFTs might look better in direct sunlight, but mobiles are by most people by a hurge margin mostly used indoor, and better to have a great display indoor and an ok outside under strong sunlight, than an good display under direct sunlight and only ok, indoors (and during the darker months of the year). An cameramodule based on the N86's, but with 720p recording (people hade HD-tvs at home, so wvga dosent really cut it). The same CPU as Omnia II or one of those snapdragons, cause with maemo, you want to run desktop apps. Ram, at least the same configuration as N900, but more dedicated RAM is allways nice, but this far I havent seen any videos of a N900 unit tunning out of memory. For battery, i hope they use at least 1500mAh, but 1850mAh or so would be to prefer in a device like this (combination of MID and Mobile phone, a device like this is allways connected, and more activly used than an ordinary smartphone). a version without keyboard, cause we dont want a phone as thick as the N900. weight vise, 181 grams wouldnt seem as much in more comfortable dimensiond device, but is still on the heavy side (and I cant imagine why the N900 weight that much).
I hope they upgrade the Maemo software so that user can add more than 4 desktops, since nokia themselves seem to think that Main menu is only supposed to be accessed on rare occations. (besides, users will have more use of more desktops, than a more fingerfriendly main meny with different levels, wich would otherwise be a much needed upgrade). But software upgrades is not a part of a new phone, since they could easily be added to the N900 as well.
On the CPU discussion, I would like to add the following perspective, sure the Mhz count tells us nothing about the fluidity of the phone OS.
However, higher clockspeed in a device running Maemo is desired thanks to the ability to run desktop application. I sure wish they hade at least the same CPU as Omnia II, the "speedstepping" feature is nice in a device like this, since the device will be running applikations most of the day, but not allways with the need of full speed.
So, yes to an higher clockspeed in a Maemo device, cause of the desktop applikations.
Yes to higher clockspeed in a Windows Phone device, to give it the fluidity it needs, especially when running a front en applikation like touchWiz, and so on.
iPhone seems to run nice at 600Mhz, but for future multitasking capabilities wich will surely come, a little more clockspeed might be needed to keep the fluidity.
Andoid I have almost no experience with, but considering the way applications are programed for andoid, and the need of an frontend, the clockspeed increase will surely make use even there.
Plus the fact, before we can run 1080p movies in our phones, downscaled to the screen resolution of the unit, and att full framerate, there is allways use for clockspeed increase.
But surely you cant judge the fluidity of a phone, when you know nothing about the OS, based on the clockspeed. Both sides are actually right in this discussion, but those claming that 600mhz is a sign that the phone will run slow are as far as wee know today of, but the wish for higher clockspeeds is correct.
I wish they would just stop with all these stupid touchscreen phones. Seriously, how many do we need ? They're moving the industry in wrong direction.
nokia has being left behind!!!!! now it is just copying styles! HTC HD2. much better ... no comments !
