SE is slow to move forward and release only a few outdated phones. However, Samsung is very fast to move forward.

So basically, we all know that even if Nokia has posted losses, they are sure to bounce back! Which is more than I can say about Motorola and SE!

I think Sony Ericsson is a great company and they make amazing products, I just hope they reconsider their pricing in the near future.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-10-16 18:14 from mD6s - click to readpoint to note.. Nokia did not report operating losses but instead write down on its investment of its network subsidiary. Thus, of the top 5 phone maker, Only SE and Motorola is bleeding. Samsung releases its preliminary earning report last week, saying it would record a record quarterly earning as high as $4 billion USD. Just the phone unit itself would report an earning of $1 billion USD.... thus you should not say everyone is losing money while samsung is making record profit at the midst of a crisis.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-10-16 18:14 from mD6s - click to readNokia's "loss" (first in 10 years) stems from its NOKIA-SIEMENS
network operation and NOT FROM ITS HANDSETS operation.

this is a good news for SE knowing that SE Satio, Aino, Yari and are not counted on those sales because they are since last week, and when we add SE X2 and SE X3 to that list than sales will get a big boost.
you know Nokia posted $834 million quarterly loss, which means that all the companies are in a crisis

SE' main problem is slow to market moves compounded by mediocre quality phones. Contrast this with Samsung which introduces new feature-packed phones at a pace faster than you can count from 1 to 100.
