Yeah, this is why Samsung will never hit the profit margins Apple hits. Because Apple can get away with selling a product with cheaper specs because of name recognition.
It seems they've given up this as they still sell more phones, number-wise (almost double), than Apple. But from a business standpoint, profit is the only real winning statistic.
I am okay with this as I would much rather get a better product for the same amount of money spent elsewhere. As a consumer, this is what we are looking for.
Imagine if Apple priced down their iPhone? They would move a lot more units, but make the same or less profit.
