Johan84, 08 May 2015even with the RAM bug this thing(s6) is blazing fast! I guess you don`t have oneThe only reason I dont have it its because I dont want it. A friend of mine has it, and hes not happy with it: poor battery life, it hangs even when theres no app open and its buggy.
(s6 vs g4 ) which one is best for better battery life , better gaming and multitasking ???
ICE, 08 May 2015In the news : Samsung Galaxy S6 Plagued by Purple Dots Showing in Images Taken with Selfie CameraI'm having this problem too, just noticed it last night, I think the only fix is to replace the phone.
im in the uk with a s6 32gb and I have a sony sensor, just thought id say.
Anonymous, 08 May 2015Yes I actually prefer the S6 as well. I don't see big benefits in the Edges. Are you happy wit... moreI have standard s6 64gb and it has samsung camera sensor. So do the other two s6's in the office. Think maybe UK region more likely to have samsung sensor?
Either way pics are good and I took a sunset low light picture and it has great detail, little noise and good colour reproduction. Much better than my old iPhone 4s
TannHauser, 08 May 2015Nope, facts Batterylife, memory leakage and nonresponsivness, underperforming hyped ufs memor... morereally? I have the S6 and my ONLY problem is the RAM management(which in this update seems to be fixed) the UFS sh*ts on every other EMMC memory. every phone gets hot period! let me guess, you have a M9 or a sony phone?
VPC, 08 May 2015Hey guys I have got s6 edge(indian version) I am experiencing high battery level drops after j... moreYes my Friend its the memory leak issue which almost every handset is facing at present. I am from new delhi and even my phone shows low ram even after no application running in the background. Its actually a problem with android lollipop. Even i am waiting for this bug fix and also much anticipated 5.1.1 update with camera and other enhanced features.
ErgoProxy, 08 May 2015Trolling, aren't weNope, facts
Batterylife, memory leakage and nonresponsivness, underperforming hyped ufs memory IO, screen rotation bug, exynos overheating issue, no SD with limited gb count, fragile build....
All reported problems with S6....
Do you have one?
Are you honestly satisfied with what you got for your money?
Or are you just lying to yourself to justify your investment?
I have a UK S6 Edge - and just received the update now...
Only had the phone less than a week (128gb Gold) and it's BREATHTAKING... zero stutter, zero lag, battery that is lasting me well over a day (REALLY heavy usage at the moment as you can imagine!) wireless charging is a dream...
I thought I'd never go back to Sammy just because they had become stale - I'm glad I went for the Edge - it's easily the best looking phone ever released (and most powerful) - no overheating issues either - bonus!! (I was planning on getting a Z4, but too little too late and only an incremental update) similar to the HTC M9...
In terms of this update with memory... my phone was always approaching 80% RAM used (even with few apps running) - and now it seems to be settling at about 60% now - so clearly some optimising has been done... not that it's affect the user experience either way to be honest...
GsmA, I quote from your S6 review:
"The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge (and S6 for that matter) is the fastest mobile phone you can have at the moment and with 64-bit support in place this should remain the case for some time to come. The flagship offers top notch performance for any use case and may not be surpassed in 2015, looking at just the 5" size (obviously the Note 5 is coming and should be a bit faster)."
That was a lie, a big one. S6 was buggy, even I bet that even now, after the update ,a two year old nexus 5 is snappier.
entropy13, 08 May 2015No updates on my S6 (SM-G920F) yet.Have the same version and I am updating atm..
TannHauser, 08 May 2015It means you bought an expensive crap phone ;-) Trolling, aren't we
