But people are flawed by nature. So people do foolish things like blindly support a manufacturer, and comment on things that they do not know about.
All the people that say Motorola is crap probably have not owned a Motorola phone in the past 2 years. I have seen my share of phones and many phones have issues; Motorola has no more than the average phone. LG phones tend to have terrible battery life and limited menu options but that does not stop their phone from doing well.
One odd feature in a Motorola that I have seen people ask for - locking individual applications (phonebook, messages).

Please don't comment if you have nothing to comment here. Seemed so childish.

> In reply to Teh Android @ 2009-11-01 20:36 from 9xnXThey want Motorola to fail because they hate the brand, simple as that. They are used to instinctively think that all Motorola products are utter garbage.
If the Droid is made by Nokia, then everyone will go crazy over it. It's the brand name that changes people's standpoint, to be honest.

I don't understand why people would want Motorola to fail. Less handset manufacturers on the market is bad for us. It raises prices and slows down inovation. I think the DEXT/Cliq and the DRIOD will do well and hopefully bring Moto back.

Not sure if the rounded plug for low-low end still exists.

I hope Motorola makes a comeback. It's sad to see "good guys" going out to the black.
Moto generally has made good models ever since. It's just their Marketing and Ads departments are flops. Really! Every salesperson knows about how Nokia had the upperhand. It's just paradigm shift...
User-friendly? I can compose text messages, while driving up the mountains on my van, my Nokia 3330, Motorola Modulus, and an Eriksson (not even and SE) without any problem.
User-friendly is just in the brain.
Almost ALL Nokias has problem in terms of quality.
Good thing before with Nokia though is that most models you can interchange batteries, and you can use one type of charger for almost 3 to 5 ranges of Nokia models.
Don't get me wrong: Nokia makes "good" phones. But really, it was the hype in advertising that made it for them.
Moto's fault laid on two divisions: R&D and Marketing/Ads.
But everything is going to change now. People everywhere are waiting for the DROID (68% daily interest on this website). For us in the Philippines, the "texting capital of the world", were Moto closed its offices "temporarily", we are waiting for the DEXT MB220 and the DROID, unless they release newer and better ones.

It's very sad for the company which actually had the very idea for a portable hand-held phone years ago when the concept of cell phones was first realized...when AT&T thought of creating numerous cellsites years ago, they only intended it for use in car phones, but it was Motorola who thought of mobile phones...they created the first working prototype of a cell phone and the rest is history...
