When a company can finally make a phone that is anywhere near the quality of iPhones, then you can bag them out.
Nokia and Samsung have been making phones for years, Apple makes three, and they (Nokia and Samsung) are now playing catch up. As i far as i am concerned, the orginal iPhone still beats most others. The next iPhones just blew the competition out of the water.

Let do some analysis between Nokia and Samsung. Nokia sell more than 100 million in handset this qtr and its handset division post a sales of USD$ 10.21 Billion. Samsung Sold a total of 60 million in handset, slightly more than half of nokia but posted a sales of USD$ 9.16 billion in sales. From this we can see that Nokia sell more in the lower end market. Samsung report had shown that it captures 27.6% of market share in developed market (US/EUR), highest ever recorded.

Semiconductor used to be its cash cow, but not anymore, look into their report before you blabber nonsense... With current quarter result Samsung has edge past HP to and Siemens to become the world's largest electronics company in terms of sales and its one of the most profitable electronics company in the world in the midst of economic crisis.

yeah, but Apple is making PROFIT off their sales.
Samsung is not making the same margin of profit on their phones.
1. Apple charges ridiculous prices for feature poor phones. Apple scams and brainwashes people to buy Apple for the 'experience'.
2. Samsung has been key to Apple's growth, providing high tech processors to Apple's mp3's and iphones.
Samsung will charge much higher prices for DRAM and NAND if Apple continues to eat away at Samsung's marketshare.

Samsung as everyone knows is giving huge cash back to all major retail and network customers to buy market share. It is good thing they can sustain this practice.. if they didn't have semiconductor business they would be last on the list. Samsung pays operators to not only buy market share but also to pays operators to get a key competitor product off the shelf. Everyone in the industry know that Samsung play dirty like their chairman lee. It is in their blood to play dirty..

Do not be biassed. Face the facts. They are at full steam and miles ahead of the competitors.
