> In reply to dara @ 2009-11-05 16:03 from 3X%3 - click to readMy car has a very thin spare wheel to save boot space and is only to be used in emergencies. Imagine always driving with this thin spare wheel, it will still take you from point a to b. A phone that needs an adapter instead of having a standard 3.5mm jack, will still do the job (like the thin spare wheel) but it is just very very irritating.
So SE are shooting themselves in the foot by not providing a standard 3.5mm jack on their high end devices.

Anyhow, some of Samsung models, usualy low end phones, are having good batt life, I am thinking to change my philips with B2100..?

I mean, who else besides the almighty brand puts the "+" key on the "*" key instead of "0"?

Samsung seem to be the company moving the mobile industry on in 2009,they produce good looking mobiles ,but its the features an batteries on there mobile they have got to improve more to succede further,as they do not seem to realise you do not buy a mobile on its looks but the ease of use an batterylife, but uptil now having one samsung mobile an the experience of using it,it as kept me away from buying another samsung mobile,Tocco Ultra an i8510 looked good but charging the phone everyday made these phones to expensive to buy an run

That's what a company like Samsung gets when they make high end class and low end class phones with the latest technology unlike the latest crappy Nokia phones and one should follow its example. this is no longer 2003 Nokia needs to be open minded and give costumer the choice by releasing different phones with latest technologies and operating systems, while the the N900 has a new and awesome OS it's goofed up with the resistive touch screen and 5mp camera and one wonders why Nokia is going down the drain. keep it up Samsung you are in the right track and one day you'll take over Nokia

Samsung as everyone knows is giving huge cash back to all major retail and network customers to buy market share. It is good thing they can sustain this practice.. if they didn't have semiconductor business they would be last on the list. Samsung pays operators to not only buy market share but also to pays operators to get a key competitor product off the shelf. Everyone in the industry know that Samsung play dirty like their chairman lee. It is in their blood to play dirty..

> In reply to [deleted post]The fast port is nonsense, that is the problem with it. It has to compete with phones that have a standard 3.5mm jack which is more convenient.

So if your competition is selling handset that have a more convenient connection and you are not your phone is already at a disadvantage.
