My friend said this phone was sooo awesome and i should get it in white of course should i listen to her?? is this phone good??

This is a very poor excuse for a mobile phone. I was talked into it by my ISP while renewing my contract and regret everyday that I have to use this terrible piece of 'modern' technology.

It is slow to access features, it runs the battery down in two days even when not used for calls, the 'Browser' in it is the worst I have ever seen and will not open any web pages that have javascript so pages like banks (accessing my accounts) wont work. - Useless.

If I try to connect to WIFI, it wipes all my ISP net setting which I have to redownload all the time.

The screen rotation is slow, sometimes taking up to 5 seconds to realise the phone has been rotated.

To find settings, applications, photos/pictures is through a poorly thought out menu/icon system. To exit applications in some cases (especially the browser), one has to bring up the options, select running programs, click on each and then go through the menus till at some point, you can find the exit function.

A lot of the problems could be due to the ISP (Telstra) custom OS version that they run but overall, my rating of this phone is:

DONT EVER GET ONE. THEY ARE RUBBISH. It is old antiquated technology and software that is being pushed as 'cutting edge'. Spend your money on something like Samsung, HTC or Apple.

Does any of you have problems with the readability / visibilaty of the keypad when the backlight comes on when it's not completely dark? I have the normal N97 white and under certain circumstances the keys are just unreadable as you have a white light on a white key.
I would have liked it if Nokia would have made the backlight switchable like on my old E90.

hi people.....i purchsd nokia n97mini gauntlet,,, n is completely imprssd by all its features,,including audio video nd email....it luks far more gud then white....

i purchased N97 mini 2 weeks ago. Its an awesome phone. As i am using NOKIA since last 4 years its very user friendly with extraordinary features. Gr8 phone.

I think this phone is sooo beautiful!
I want it so bad in garnet or snow white as these are quite unique colours. The phone has everything i need: touchscreen, qwuerty keyboard, good camera!
Perfect for moi!
