I got a Samsung Gear S for Christmas, Bell peoples Don't even know how it works. I installed my Brother in law IPhone sims card in my gear S and we could make call and received call with the Gear S. I went to Bell, got a nano sim card and my Samsung Gear S has been my only phone. I can Call and received call, send and received message to how ever I want, received my mail and send email. Got google on it, Here map and location and got my music send bluetooth to my head phone. Got my photo gallery where I could pinch my pictures.. really sharp pictures.
I could ski or snowboard with that bulky phone in my pocket, step counter work pretty well.
I ask myself did someone really try that watch?
I love the freedom of my Gear S

Who knows, in just a few years, maybe holographic displays on smartphones will actually make smartphones obsolete and antiquated.

Don't know about you but i would go running without my phone in pocket for sure, Apple Pay alone would be almost enough reason to get interested about smartwatch because it would definately make paying better, not worse. Checking your fly tickets in airport etc.
You can already do everything with your phone which you can do with tablet or smartwatch, but some things just works better with tablet, so you use tablet, or smartwatch. Same goes for Apple watch, it has it's own place, but does it have enough advantages, that would only time tell. That's why we have awesome developers around the world who trying to make those watch more and more useful for us.

Good for browsing internet but now people thinking about do we really need one more device to manage, in addition to Laptop, Mobile? Smart Watch is only making things worse!

I can't not have a smart watch anymore. When I switched back to Android for a bit, couldn't use the Apple Watch, it was irritating. So I went out and bought a LG Watch Urbane for my Note Edge.
Everyone is different though, some people will find use for tech and others won't. Tablets were said to be useless in the past. My parents thought text messaging was stupid, until they figured out how to do it themselves.
It's all based on personal preference. I personally love smart watches now. My Apple Watch is sent in for repair cause I broke the screen, and it feels like something is missing from my everyday life now.
Primark, 13 Jun 2015You normally do over the top way to defend apple, but this post is actually sensible... Though... moreActually most times his defence is just fair and reasonable, but APPEARS over the top due to the overwhelming and unreasonable Apple haters in the comments sections here.
I am extremely pleased with my Apple Watch, that l've had for a month. Tooling-wise Apple won't change the external design so quick, and otherwise I'm sure we original adopters will be kept happy with regular software updates.

I used Android for 4 years and recently switched to iPhone 6 as I want to purchase an Apple Watch.
[deleted post]Man you are right.
They (the haters) can't pay 350~17,000 USD for a watch that can't stand for more than 18 hours.
350=400USD for the Watch Sport.
550=1100USD for Watch.
10,000=17,000USD for the Watch Edition. (My maid got 1 with the AppleCare+)
BTW you need to pay 1500USD for that app (AppleCare+)

And who cares...? :) really... Many want to try smartwatch and see if it's useful or not, it's not end of world to buy one and sell it if it wasnt useful. Same way millions bought tablet, they really didn't knew if it's useful or not, you just had to try to see if it's suits in your life or not. Now there's like 500 million, maybe more tablets in use of people's hand.
I see many useful scenarios for smartwatch, but i'm atleast waiting this next gen model when the device and OS and ecosystem is more matured. just like i did with iPad when my first one was third generation.
Sad thing about this is a lot of people, Apple fan or not alike, will buy into this. My biggest passion in life is tech and gaming. I own a phone with each of the three major mobile OS platforms. I use both a Mac and PC. However, I do not see absolutely any need or desire to get a smart watch. Now, they're trying to condition people into the same strategy as their iPhone line. I hate these companies (e.g. Google, Apple, Microsoft etc.) but I absolutely love their products but I will not allow myself to be a fool and buy into this unless it was given to me for free.
Anonymous, 13 Jun 2015and Apple Watch 3 said to launch the year after next.i already know the 10th gen will be released 2024
Based on apple release history... we can expect it will be called the Apple Watch S... look exactly the same, come with 3 new wrist band colours, have a slight bump in processor and battery performance, bring some new software that other watches have had for a few years and the old Apple watch wont support and be labeled a "revolutionary device" by iS heep.
1st gen is a dud and DOA. 2nd gen will be pretty much the same. I'd wait until 3rd which will be comparable to the competition two gen ago.
