Tecno Phantom 6 Plus was launched today in Dubai. It runs an MTK helio X20 Processor...Deca-Core.
I noticed that GSMArena does not have Tecno in their catalog so it's understandable that they don't have this information yet.
And this is September.

20 MP? but on website they are promising that they will be supporting 31 MP [25 Usable]. And 3100 mAh battery will not be sufficient for these 10 core processor I guess! It is also helpful if the device van be viewed as an aggregation of a number of subsystems.
The battery, for example, comes from the field of Electro-Chemistry. Where, for the last few decades, experts in this industry have been researching, experimenting and delivering improvements in energy density that have delivered constant imorovements in battery performance.
During any typical day, the variety of tasks that users run on their mobile device can require high levels of processing power or much, much lower levels of processing power.
In order to make the user happy when running processor-intensive jobs, it is neccessary to have a powerful enough engine (say, a 5.3L V12 as in my BMW 750).
But running such a fuel-guzzling engine even when the user just wants to type an email, or make a phone call, would, of course, prove wasteful.
So, just as the engine management system on my Beemer automatically switches down to only 6-cylinders when I am tootling around town, so also do the variable-power banks of processors in a deca-core array.
It really is just that simple, and if the design engineers at BMW had already devised such proven techniques for saving fuel - then I guess a similar engine management system for the power plant of my mobile digital device, in principal, should deliver similar savings in battery power.
It is not only about the delivery of raw power from all ten cores, rather, it is about tactful matching of appropriate resources as and only when required. Thus avoiding wasteful consumption of fuel, or battery life.
