Just got one few days ago knowing of this issue before hand. Do you really think that you will buy the HD2 for its camera? Come on now...I don't even bother tapping the camera icon. Enjoy the other benefits.

Major ouch for prospective buyer. It is time for HTC to work on stills and vidoes of their devices. If Samsung able to balance it out why can"t they?

Nokia 5800 has ear piece problem
Nokia N97 has GPS and Camera glass scratching issue
HTC HD2 has camera issues
Iphone is over priced.

These are all excellent phones but they have one issue or the other (u cant have it all), but u know we want value for money.

To this end GSMARENA pls publish the best phone for 2009 per Operating system and the best phone over all.

It's obvious that HTC cannot afford such a financial loss by replacing at least the camera modules, if not the whole device, and, after they quicly reacted with "yeah, we'll replace the camera" stuff, then they realised that the costs will pretty much cancel some of the profits, and preferred to patch the firmware with some color-bias picture enhancing algorithm that CAN provide the same result, but that can and will do damage in some other picture related issues. Let's see if the extracted RAW data will reveal the bodge...
