Steffan,i work for a well known parcel company who picks up all broken phones from private addresses and also the ones from your shops and i can tell you 90% of them are sony ericsons,then iphones and nokias and that is the truth.And i have owned nokias,sonys,lgs and samsungs and am on my second samsung no problems what so ever.

quantity over quality never was a good marketing strategy... Samsung Star may sell like hell but don't forget _IT IS NOT_ a smart phone and ppl buy it and try to use it as if it was, sure it has the looks but the specs... With Star Samsung made what SE has always done, good quality phones at an affordable price. 'ny way i like both SE and Samung phones though my favourites will always be SE :P

samsung and lg for that matter did something nokia and sony ericson did not do, they copied the shape of Iphone and sell it a cheaper price and have been very successfull at that. nokia's touchscreen phone looks dull especially the screen colors. samsung's screen look more vibrant just like the iphone. So it is no longer a question of if but when will samsung overtake nokia to be number 1.samsung have beaten sony and other japanese companies so they know how to beat nokia also unless nokia can come out with a new strategy.

I work in a phoneshop and despite all happy posts that samsung sells good they will never be nr 1 i hope cause their phones aret he ones that break the most, 80% of the malfunctioning phones we get back for repairs are samsungs... It's kinda amazing

In 98 to 2000 i had live in korea and there samsung is the best. Samsung has everything nice screen, good hardware. With sgh-i550 is never make me sad

Its nice to see Samsung lead the selling list of touch phones. Personally i own a Samsung star mobile and satisfied to some extent after switching from my old phone(SonyEricsson W810i). The thing is that samsung is no where near with SonyEricsson and Nokia in terms of Software. I bet the software of SonyEricsson is much far better than any other mobile companies.
