A good move to full metal unibody, but still lack of control for user with the ugly touchwitz (the themes also ugly)
Do learn from Cyanogenmod, MIUI, Flyme for their excellent custom ROM.
Anonymous, 19 Sep 2015Please use PLS screen and removable barrety...Typo: battery.
I think I'll stick with S6 Edge for a while, it's beautiful phone. It catches the eye of everyone beacuse of it's curved edges and for fingerprints...most of the time i keep my phones in cases anyway. So metal or glass doesn't matter to me.
I feel glass is good....Atleast , when i take it out of the cover it looks brand new coz it's hard to get scratch on gorilla glasses.
I reckon samsung should improve the battery life, that's my only complaint.
Tomason, 18 Sep 2015I highly doubt they will change this new trend of design. They just started with the glass de... moreI highly don't doubt that. They used metal since Note4 which use pleather as yhe back cover. Its a transition from plastic, pleather, glass and now metal. Besides, the news of them using Qualcomm make it more convincing. The reason, mainly because you can't use wireless charging with metal back, hence iphone never have it. But, Qualcomm allegedly had invented a chips call WiPower that enable wireless charging in metal phones.
Wait, I thought the A series had metal unibodies? Is it, or is it not? Some tech sites say metal unibody others say plastic. For tech reviewers that don't know the facts, smh.
Tomason, 18 Sep 2015I highly doubt they will change this new trend of design. They just started with the glass de... morethey used plastic+aluminium before with alpha and note 4. that didn't take long enough too.
I don't care what it's made of as long as the battery is BIG. Not many people have access to chargers, wireless or otherwise, during the day. I want to be able to use my phone how I want to use it, not be limited to screen on time caps.
Those with a hard on for removable batteries should just get over it. The days of removing the cover on your mobile are over.
Get a battery back up that will charge it twice and quit yer sniveling.
Magnesium's thermal conductivity is lower than aluminum. But, as stated in this news, how is that "a feature that's of great use in the mobile world, where chipsets and displays generate quite a lot of heat"? What about heat dissipation to cool down the chipset, battery, etc.? It's only good for your hands.
Get a removable battery and a micro SD port in it and I will buy this phone Samsung !
Yeah, nice, at least I hope Samsung has realised that Glass built is for stupid companies like Apple and Sony (sorry Sony, I never thought I would put you next to something like Apple), and let them have their pathetic built phones.
Go metal, full metal, far far better than stupid glass, hope Samsung won't forget to tweak the antenna reception and all that stuffs. Still would have preferred poly carbonate/ plastic though.
The S7 can be made from diamonds for all I care, but without a micro SD slot, water & dust proofing, and removable battery it's useless.
I highly doubt they will change this new trend of design.
They just started with the glass design for their flagships after more than than 5 years of using Plastic.
So I'm almost sure they will use same design with specs improvement.
