That's great news! I hope the regular Z5 will hit stores soon as well.
Z5 compact looks unattractive though, a step back from the beautiful beast Z3 compact. The Z5 has a big top bezel for some reason when on Z3 compact the bezels have an amazing look with the top being slimmer from the bottom. Other than that Z5 compact's sides are all plastic without anything to catch the eye, again Z3 compact was quite an eye magnet especially in green colour, and had rounder bezels. What happened to Sony?
dexterouz, 28 Sep 2015£429 = Rs.43,000 approx. Don't think so it will launch at 25K. It's a flagship series.my bad, 45k is too damn high. people will go for iphone 5s, 6 plus.
I wish gsm arena would test also power saver and ultra saver mode battery performance for calls, video, websurfing. Result can be shocking (in a good way).
fluxx, 28 Sep 2015The sides are nearly flat instead of heavily rounded which leads to the wrong impression of a ... moreok but still it looks like the mother of all phablets with that model girl, they should get a bigger model human to hold this brick then. -_-
adlk, 28 Sep 2015indian price will be around 25k, so it will not sell fast(er). good luck btw.£429 = Rs.43,000 approx. Don't think so it will launch at 25K. It's a flagship series.
ThePhabletGuy, 28 Sep 2015so this so called compact phone is only 127 x 65 x 8.9 mm (5.0 x 2.56 x 0.35 in) in dimensions... moreThe sides are nearly flat instead of heavily rounded which leads to the wrong impression of a fat phone... I guess it's really important for them to show off the new fingerprint sensor, so they stick to the side views.

Aidey1968, 28 Sep 2015I imagine the Z5C will get a very favourable review, even more so when GSMArena do a compact ... moreit does NOT have improved battery life!! sd810 eats battery like crazy! standy-by (z3c): 880h vs (z5c): 520h; music play (z3c) 110h vs (z5c) 77h
I imagine the Z5C will get a very favourable review, even more so when GSMArena do a compact face off against the 6s and whatever Samsung are bringing this year. The only negatives I can see are it being relatively chunky for a smartphone(if it means improved battery life, I reckon most people will be more than pleased!!) and it being "only" 720p , but as it is a 4.6" screen, that should not matter.
This should be the direct competitor to the 6s, let's hope Sony's mobile division remember how to market it!!!
so this so called compact phone is only 127 x 65 x 8.9 mm (5.0 x 2.56 x 0.35 in) in dimensions, so why does it look like a mamoth phablet in the models hand. realy defeats the purpose if they want to show off its compact design. so called marketing realy -_- psht meh!!!
The appearance look like the old item, not big difference. I still use a surge protector with usb to charge the old one by Sony
