i think phone 7 software would be prefect for htc becuase their cell phones are lite weight have pretty large processors although the phone 7 software doesnt need it to be great but would create a pretty good preformance package

Why is gsm arena reporting this rumour?
Microsoft said in their presentation that they weren't interested in making hardware. Not only that, but ashok kumar has a bad reputation, most if his rumours never become a reality and the ones that do are the obvious ones.

Bad journalism from gsm arena

That kind of news betwen nokia and skype is to atract NEW costumers who don't know symbian world jet, but not for existing users at all.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2010-02-20 14:49 from n7fJ - click to readAt last year's Mobile World Congress Skype and Nokia made a big song and dance about Skype on the N97, there were quite a few threads on it on this site and it was widely reported.

Here read this:-

"Skype to be integrated into Nokia devices
By JBC on 17 February 2009

BARCELONA, Spain – Nokia and Skype announced plans this morning to fully integrate Skype into select Nokia devices. Kicking off with the Nokia N97, Skype will be part of the address book in the device, enable users to easily see when their Skype contacts are online. It’ll also enable them to use 3G and WiFi to make and receive free Skype to Skype voice calls.

Skype will be rolled out on other devices after the Nokia N97 goes live in the third quarter. New Nokia N97 devices will have it pre-installed, whilst early versions will be able to get it through a software upgrade. Other select Nseries devices are also likely to come with integrated Skype functionality which includes Skype contacts, Chat, VoIP and Presence."

So why is there still NO SKYPE FOR THE N97?

Get rid of the brainwashing Nokia sheep, open your eyes and WAKE UP.

Nokia beta test phones on users and hook them with promises of things that never come.

S60 v5 = Symbian^3 beta.
