STEED, 09 Mar 2010the kpad is for losers save some energy use touch screen this is a really good phone why dnt u like keypad
After a couple of days with mine I'm really liking it. Screen is nice and responsive. Getting used to BLUR and I think the keyboard is great. The backtrack pad on the back is actually useful once you get the hang of it. Video playback is very good and the design allows it to act like a stand. Solid 5mp camera with flash. Having out of Market apps blocked and Yahoo! search doesn't bother me. I believe that most people who are complaining about this phone haven't actually touched one. If you don't expect it to work like a Nexus One you probably won't be disappointed. This will hold me over nicely until AT&T's other Android offerings and WP7 devices are released so I can choose from the higher end units later on.
i want buy this phone
very good price
The openess of Android allowed AT&T to fully lock it in to their services including Yahoo for search.
If you like being locked in to what a phone company will let you have, this is the phone for you.
100 Moto, 09 Mar 2010Suggest you print a hardcopy / send the print screen of what AT&T says clearly in the webs... moretry to contract me when u r in USA. I will help u buy one.
Anonymous, 08 Mar 2010350$ with no contract? that's a great price but would it be compatible with 3g networks here i... moreYes according to the specs...
Zobi, 08 Mar 2010Is not very good. In Europe has Moto Milestone, much better phone if you asks me.Did you know the "stand alone" (unlock without contract) price for Backflip vs. Milestone?
My understanding Backflip costs US$350 and Milestone costs US$600.
Yes, for those who can afford US$600, Milestone is a great, if not the best, phone. However, not everybody can really affort US$600 for a phone.
If Backflip is available where I live before I got my Milestone, I would of buy the Backflip first, then wait for prices of Milestone to drop and get a Milestone later.
I'll get a Backflip....but probably will be my next visit in US in July.
Anonymous, 08 Mar 2010it is very funny that in the U.S when i went to the AT&T store to buy "Motorola BACKF... moreSuggest you print a hardcopy / send the print screen of what AT&T says clearly in the website regarding its OFFER of Backflip at US$349 unlock.
I would get one if I'm in US right now, though I won't be there til July...
the kpad is for losers save some energy use touch screen
This phone is Bull. You're locked into a walled garden when you get this phone, regardless of Android's open-ness. Avoid this phone.
Nice one moto i think this might be better than the n97 seriously symbian sucks and the processor well what more can i say nokia still making 434mhz phones wake up and smell the coffee lets see some snapdragon 1ghz processors you don't always to be sooo two thousand and late its already 2010
Anonymous, 08 Mar 2010Got it yesterday returning it today. Terrible touch screen. What phone did you compare it to? It can't be that this is phone is impossible to use.
tks. i just make an order online. i buy a full price and later will get $100 mail in rebate. also the online store waved the early upgrade fee as well. but i am not sure i want to keep that phone or return it when i get it.
Anonymous, 08 Mar 2010Got it yesterday returning it today. Terrible touch screen.Question: How much did AT&T crippled the phone? We already know that they put Yahoo Search instead of Google, but how many apps did they really change?
Anonymous, 08 Mar 2010it is very funny that in the U.S when i went to the AT&T store to buy "Motorola BACKF... moreActually, I went to an ATT store last friday and they told me that the same thing. Then I came back sunday (the day the backflip was released) and a different store clerk told me that apparently yes, they can sell you the cellphone without contract if you have had previously an ATT account... huh? I don't know to what extent ATT employees are aware of this. Anyway, if you want to buy this cellphone without a contract, amazon is the place :).
This $30 is just a required add-on for data, you also have to pay for voice. So you would need to add another $40 per month for 450 minute plan, getting the total to $70 (plus lots of fees and taxes) - I would call it a ripoff.
Entry level social phone that will not be able to handle Flash when it is available for Android.I think i will wait to see which HTC phones are going to fill out the roster.[nice to see Android on AT&T]
Got it yesterday returning it today.
Terrible touch screen.
